"Sounds like a plan." he said.

"I'll stay here with Sara, keep her company." he went on.

"Talk with her so we can get to know each other." he then said further. "After all, if she's connected to me, she may as well know about me, and it'd be nice to know about her." he reasoned.

"Good luck." he then told Xeri.

"Shouldn't be hard, but still. Good luck."

Xeri was silent for a moment before nodding.

"Oh! All right then." She said.

"I'll bring him here then." With that she got to her feet and headed off, not entirely sure how long it would take to find the centaur that she was now looking for.

Ceth didn't get a chance to say anything, before Xeri was gone.

"...well, crap." he said.

"I didn't realise she was thinking something different. Damn it." he muttered.

"I hate it when we don't connect." he went on.

"We usually connect so well, being twins and all." he told Sara.

"To have such a misfire in communication is... well, it's not good." he mumbled, shaking his head slowly.

Sara just shrugged.

"It happens." was all she said as she finished off the fruit that she'd been given.

"Thank you... so much." She added after a few seconds, her gratitude obvious and very evident there.

"You're welcome." Ceth replied.

"It's the least we can do." he said.

"After all, we cruxes gotta stick together, and even if we weren't, I'm not one to not help a child." he reasoned with a light chuckle.

"Still hungry?" he asked.

"We have some fruit and bread in the room, and it should get eaten before it goes bad." he reasoned.

Sara just shook her head. She wasn't going to ask for anything, and even then... she was all right fo rthe moment.

Xeri sighed as she stopped by the railing and looked out into the water.

"Geez. Who would've thought that finding someone would be so difficult." She mused before sighing. She had no diea where the centaur she was looking for was located, but she did hope that she could find him. The quicker the better.

Her and her brother were not cut out to be caring for children.

The water was clear and calm, only the ripples from the water speeding outwards from the displacement the ship was causing. The skies seemed to be clear as well, and she could see out for miles and miles.

It was almost enough to calm the unease that she was feeling.

Almost.

But not quite.

She didn't have time to get TOO lost in the scenery, though, before she heard a voice in the crowd.

"Sara!" a male voice called out.

"Sara, where are you!?"

Xeri paused before straightening up and lokoing around, ho0ping to find the one that was calling out for who she assumed was the child that she'd met earlier.

She didn't hesitate before making her way through the crowd toward the voice, making sure to move at a pace that she wasn't going to lose her target. As she neared, she noticed he was exactly as the child had described, a centaur.

"Karivyn?" She asked as she neared him, hoping he wouldn't react defensively or brush her off. If anything, since he was traveling with a crux, perhaps he'd recognize the streak in her own hair and it'd play well for her. Perhaps.

The centaur paused when she addressed him.

"....." he was silent, before looking at her.

"Yes. That is my name." he confirmed.

"How do you know it?" he asked, before pausing.

"Wait, do you know Sara!?" he then asked further, his voice hopeful.

"Hey, relax. She's with my brother." She told him honestly.

"I can take you to our room, if you would like." She added, a kind smile on her face.

He heaved a sigh of relief.

"Oh, thank goodness." he said.

"I was SO worried about her. We'd gotten separated when things got hectic earlier." he told her.

"I'm glad it seems she found someone friendly at least." he went on.

He then paused for a moment, thinking about it.

"Wait..." he said, looking at her hair.

"Are YOU the one she senses?" he asked.

"No. I'm not." She told him honestly.

"My brother, on the other hand..." she trailed off with a light shrug.

"Regardless, come with me, I'll take you to where she is. Or I could go get her and bring her to you, if you would prefer."

"Yes." he said.

"Let us go and see her." he agreed.

"It would be best if we left these crowds, anyway." he reasoned.

"I don't need to lose her again." he went on.

"I would never forgive myself if I let her down." he said further, a heaviness to his tone.

Xeri just chuckled lightly.

"It's all right. You didn't let her down." She assured him.

"Somewhere as busy as this, it really isn't too surprising that it happened." She added with a shrug. "But yes, let's go."

With that, they started to head off toward where her and her brother were staying.

Karivyn, not knowing where Xeri's room was, instinctively followed the elf.

As he did, he looked around slightly, keeping aware of his surroundings, and making sure nothing was going to happen.

"So. She sensed your brother." he commented.

"That is interesting." he said.

"Means there are no less than 3 of you onboard this ship." he went on.

"This is quite serendipitous."

"There's more than that. At least, that I'm aware of." She commented.

"But I'd rather not go into that out in public." She added, hoping he would be able to understand that.

"Indeed." Karivyn replied.

"I can understand that." he said further.

With that, the rest of the walk to the room was in relative silence, before he sighed when they were walking down the corridor, and shook his head.

"Admittedly, I am not very comfortable on a ship." he then commented.

"Centaurs... don't do very well on the water..."

Xeri just sighed lightly as Karivyn mentioned what he did.

"I doubt Sara does too well in water either." She commented.

"But if anything happens and you're at risk of being thrown overboard, my brother or I should be able to get one of you off. Not sure about both, admittedly." she told him honestly.

"But at least one of you." She paused a moment. "If that's any comfort."

"Prioritise Sara." Karivyn said, without a moments hesitation.

"She is the important one." he said further.

"I am tasked with protecting and defending her, so her life is of more value than mine." he continued.

"I am a centaur warrior, and I never fail in my responsibilities." he then told her.

"I will die before I let harm come to her."

Xeri paused a moment before smiling softly.

"It's wonderful to see someone so devoted to their task." She commented, her tone sincere, not condescending at all.

"But we would try and help all we can." She added as they approached the room in question.

"Hey Sara, guess who I found,." She said as she stepped inside, making sure to speak in the language that the child knew. Sara looked over, her expression hopeful as Xeri stepped in and out of the way, allowing Karivyn to follow if he so desired.
