Karivyn did, indeed, accept the invitation, and stepped inside.

When he saw Sara, his expression lightened and became that of massive relief.

"Sara!" he exclaimed.

"Oh, thank goodness." he said, as he started to walk towards her.

"I'm glad you're safe!" he told her.

'Huh.' Ceth thought, upon seeing him.

'A centaur. Not often you see them out of their forests.'

Sara waved at Karivyn with a smile.

"Sorry I vanished..." She then said after a moment, her tone sheepish.

"I... just.. I lost you then couldn't find you and... and ..." She just bit her lip, expecting punishment. She'd been with Karivyn for a bit by this point, but it was still hard to replace her upbringing.

When Karivyn was close enough, he knelt down so that he was closer to her level...

...and hugged her.

Held her close.

"Thank goodness you're all right." he said.

"I never would have forgiven myself if anything had happened to you." he went on.

"All that matters is that you're safe. And you found other people you can trust."

Sara nodded.

"I am, and I did." She answered honestly as she returned the embrace.

". . .scared me when I couldn't find you though." She admitted quietly. It wasn't something surprising, as she looked to eb naught but a child.

Xeri meanwhile just sat on her bed with a soft smile. It was a good thing to see. Not enough people smiled with Vyran running rampant.

Ceth watched this happen and smiled as well.

He was glad that they'd been reunited... though Sara's general attitude and such worried him slightly. Then again, was it surprising?

He then sighed quietly, as Karivyn lifted Sara up, and allowed her to get onto his back.

"Thank you." he said to the twins.

"No worries." Ceth replied.

"Sara and I had a good talk."

"Good to know." She said before looking to the other two.

"If either of you need us, you know where we are now." She said.

"I can find Ceth, easy." Sara then said after a moment.

"That is very true." Xeri agreed with a laugh.

"Feel free to hunt us out in the future."

Karivyn laughed lightly at the exchange.

"We will." he replied.

"Again, thank you SO much." he said further, before he excused himself and Sara, and left the room.

Once they were gone, Ceth turned to Xeri.

"Well." he said.

"Do you think we should try and introduce them to the others we know are here?" he asked her.

"...besides HIM?" he quickly clarified at the end.

"Adym already knows us, of course." She then said. "But perhaps we should introduce Sara and Karivyn to him and Call-----" She started before the ship rocked. Hard.

"What the hell was THAT!?" She exclaimed after they managed to right themselves.

Ceth quickly jerked his head back and forth.

"I don't know!" he exclaimed.

"But we'd better find out!" he told her.

Meanwhile, Callie and crew were asking themselves the same thing.

"That didn't feel like a sea-beast or a leviathan." Kai commented.

"I think we're under attack from terrestrials." he said.

"Dammit..." she muttered before sighing.

"We probably shouldn't split up... but that might be better, too. I have no idea."

"So let's go." Kai replied, making his way to the door.

Meanwhile, Karivyn and Sara were almost knocked over as well.

"Woah!" the centaur exclaimed.

"Sara, are you all right!?" he asked the girl.

Sara was silent before shaking her head.

"I'm ok." She answered after a moment or two.

"What happened though?" She asked, not sure as she looked around. She was a bit uneasy as well, but at least she wasn't entirely freaking out.

Externally, at least. Karivyn was very well aware of how she was one that was terrified of those from Oretzy finding her again, as they had run into them in the past.

"......" Karivyn was silent, before they heard screaming out from the desk.

"Definitely a commotion going on." he said.

"Come, let's see if we can't find a safe place to observe." he told her.

At that point, Callie and co. were making their way to where they heard the disturbance, when they heard orders being barked.

"We know at least ONE of them is onboard!" a harsh voice yelled.

"Bring her to us! BRING THE PRINCESS!"

Instantly, Callie paled.

"Ohhh... nooo..." She said quietly as they ducked out of sight. Her thoughts were instantly drifting to the fact that she was the one that was royal, apparnetly. For the moment, she wasn't even considering that the imposter had boarded as well.

"Either of you have any ideas? Because I sure as shit don't." She then said after a moment or two, as she peered around where it was that they were hiding to see if there was anyone there, or coming, or anything.

Adym just cursed in elven.

"None." he muttered.

"At least one...?" Kai mumbled.

"Yeah." Adym replied.

"They're referred to as 'Crux Seekers'." he said. "They hunt out and look for cruxes... and generally, they're paid by less-than-virtuous people to do it." he commented further.

"...not good." Kai said.

"To massively understate it." Adym agreed.

"Callie, you all right?" he then asked Callie, as Kai narrowed his eyes and started to scan the area to see if there was anything he could do.

"It seems like they're going to try and search the entire ship." Kai commented.

"Looks like they may be heavily armed, as well. Everyone seems to be scared, but I can't see what they're doing, or what kind of weapons they're using." he said further.

"We may need to fall back." Adym suggested.

"We can't just rush into this half-cocked."

"Look, we might be better off going to --" She started before they all heard something loud in the distance. Callie froze.

". . . . this world has guns... I so hoped that it wouldn't." She admitted with a sigh as they heard the cries from the shots.

People started to panic and drop to the floor when ordered, and Adym just sighed.

"We do, sadly." he said.

"Really wish we didn't." he muttered.

"Tell me about it." Kai growled.

"They're cowardly and cumbersome, and all they do is make people monsters." he said.

"They make monsters masquerading as people show their true selves." Adym corrected him.

"But that's neither here nor there." he quickly went on. "We need to do something before people start getting hurt." he suggested.
