Kali nodded before geting to her feet.

"Of course." She said with a soft smile.

"I look forward to seeing it in action." She added before looking to Everett again.

"Well then, lead the way."

"Murder one? Geez, that's a heavy crime." Kalin commented as they walked.

"Why are you so certain he is innocent, though?" She then asked, her voice curious.

"Is there any evidence to back it up? Or do you know the defendant?" She wasn't accusing him of anything, and he could tell by her voice. She was just trying to get some information.

Kalin nodded.

"Of course." She said before sitting where he directed her to, and starting to look over everything. There was enogh information to go through, that it wouldn't be done in one day, no chance. She was able to put a decent deny on what he directed her to for the momentthogh, if nothing else.

"a lot of contradictions in these. No one can get their story straight it seems." She commented with a sigh.

It didn't take long. Kalin read one, then read the other before pausing.

". . . one could argue taht the colour is absolutely nothing." She commented.

"But at the same time, it's a flower that has specific colours depending on the time of day. One of these doesn't jive with the autopsy report as perfectly as the other, I can almost guarantee it."

"That's a pretty big thing. They both mentioned the flower, one said red, and one said pink." Kalin commented.

"And while one could brush it off as being nothing more than a lighting difference, that would still bring up questions anyway." She added after a moment or two.

"Has anyone found that flower?" She then asked, her voice curious.

"Or one of hte same breed?"

"It's less that, and more that it may be worthwhile to hae it to show the court." Kalin commented.

"To prove to them, that even a time difference of 15 minutes, or the amount of light that it receives, will affect its colour." She then continued.

"That should, in theory, be enough to add some credence to the claim of the colours bein important."

Kalin nodded.

"Of course. Now, I have a question." She started.

"I realise it'll be listed, but as it stands I haven't seen the information yet." She continued, looking around slightly.

"When is the court date?" She asked.

"Seventeen days?" Kalin asked.

"I'll have an airtight case in fourteen." She told him simply, confidence to her voice, but not cockiness or arrogance.

"I'll get the inncent verdict, not a problem." She added.

Kalin nodded.

"Two weeks." She agreed.

"I was top of my class, don't be surprised when I hand you a winner." She then said, a subtle smirk to her voice, and on her face.

Sure enough, two weeks later, she approached Everett in his office and handed him the folder of information for the case that she'd mnanaged to put together.

"Here." She said as she accepted it.

"The promised offering."

"I deliver on what I say I will." Kalin said with a subtle smile.

"And I would thoroughly enjoy watching the prosecution make their way through that defense." She added with a smirk.

"I would reccomend making sure you know the nitty gritty of what I did, make sure that it is as airtight as it seems on the surface, over the next few days that are left before the actual court date."
