"Honestly, I kind of want to go to Japan." Kalin answered after a moment or two.

"I've never been, and I do love htheir food." She added.

"And I know you can." She knew of his mana, but her own had never come up. She didn't really care though, as it was was something that should come up eventually, but she'd never had any reason to use it and show she had it.

"Can YOU?" he asked.

"I know you know of that side of the world... but are you a part of it?" he asked her.

"You say you've never been, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything." he then reasoned.

"So yeah, are you capable of that?" he asked her.

"And would you still prefer for me to take us there, even if you are?"

"Why the hell am I coming up now?" Kalin asked, her voice curious.

"Last I checked, that wasn't a topic of discussion for the moment." She added with a shrug.

"And I've never said I've 'never been'. I've just never really answered." With that, she turned and started making her way to the door out. She had a feeling this wouldn't be the end of that conversation, but that was all right. For now, she was going to have some fun with him.

He lost her in the crowd, but she expected that.

She had him follow her around for what seemed like forever. through the crowd, around the block, down the street, and more.

It wasn't until about an hour later that he found her sitting on the hood of his car.

"Yo." She said as he approached.

"I've been here for an hour. Where've you been?" She asked, a smirk on her face.

Rene was silent as he saw her sitting on the hood of his car.

"I..." he stammered.

"Wait..." he said.

He looked around, scratching the back of his head, and sighed.

"Riiiiiiiiiight." he mumbled.

"Right, that's... impressive." he said.

"You are REALLY good with your mana." he complimented her.

"...and you look really good sitting on the hood of my car..." he then admitted.

"I'm a Kiczys. Mom was damn good with hers. Of course mine is good." Kalin answered simply as she slid off of the vehicle, her skirt riding up her legs in the process.

"No, I'm not a necromancer." She added after a moment or two, as she got to her feet and straightened her clothing.

"Wind and water." She paused a moment. "Well, kind of. Mostly wind."

Rene was stunned for a moment as Kalin's skirt rode up her legs, before shaking his head lightly.

"Ah, I see." he said.

"Well, that's... fair enough." he commented.

"Anyway!" he then said, clearing his throat.

"Let's get that food, shall we?" he suggested.

"We can drive back to my apartment and then head to get food." he went on.

"It'd be the stealthiest way."

"Because while this is gorgeous, it's not quite my style, if I'm being honest." She paused a moment before meeting his gaze.

"Hey, considering Gavin's ping streaks... he care about the hair colour for those that work with him?"

"Fair enough." Rene replied.

"And nope." he said.

"As far as he's concerned, your hair is your source of individuality. When in court, you're wearing a proper suit, but the hair? Whatever. You gain a reputation for winning, and that speaks for itself." he went on.

"Simple as that." he said.

"Though, there ARE limits." he told her as they got into the vehicle.

"Like, no offensive imagery and crap." he went on.

"Also, yeah, that outfit IS gorgeous. You look good in it." he then complimented her.

"you any good with hair dye? Or know where we can go to get my hair done?" She asked.

"Especially if we're heading global for food." She addewd wit a light laugh.

"I am no good with that." Rene replied.

"Competent, I guess, but... you don't want to trust me with that." he chuckled.

"I DO know of a good place to get that done here in the city, though." he then told her.

"Here." he said, tossing her his cell phone.

"Girl who runs the salon is in my contact list. Her name's Irene. Call her up and put her on speakerphone." he went on.

"I'll see about a walk-in appointment if you want one."

Kalin just tossed the phone back.

"At this hour?" She asked with a laugh.

"It's almost ten at night. We can call her tomorrow." She added.

"Now, come on. Let's get back to your place." She added as she got comfy.

Rene just shrugged.

"Sure." he replied.

"Don't even know if she's working, anyway." he said.

"She keeps stupid hours." he muttered.

With that, they were on their way, and were shortly in his apartment once more.

"All right." he said.

"Get changed or do whatever you need to do." he told her.

Kalin nodded before heading off.

About fifteen minutes later, she returned in a get up that he had never seen, and hadn't known she possessed.

To say that Rene enjoyed what he saw, would be a bit of an understatement. She had a studded skirt, large fishnet, a simple yet almost elegant top with long sleeves, and a wide brimed black hat. To say she looked like an 'elegant goth' would actually be rather accurate, especially with the black and silver make up that she'd painted her face with.

"All right, I'm good. Are you?" She asked with a smile.

"Or am I going to look too out of place?"

Rene was silent for a moment.

Almost stunned to the point of being in shock.

But he quickly shook his head a little, and smacked his cheeks lightly.

"Uh, no... no, not at all." he said.

"Fashion there is... well, it's whatever." he told her.

"You may stand out, but... doubt it'll be too much, or it'll be a bad thing." he went on.

"Besides, you'll be with me." he then said further.

"Generally the people there that know what I am either love me or hate me." he added, rolling his eyes.

Kalin just laughed lightly.

"Good to know." She commented.

"Well then, shall we? You at least know where we're going, so mana is up to you." She added after a moment or two.

"Or are you needing to do anythign before we head out?"

Rene shook his head.

"Nope." he replied.

"C'mere." he told her.

She got close, and took his hand, causing him to blush slightly, but they soon disappeared in a ball of water, appearing in what looked to be a back room of some restaurant.

"We're here." he said.

"Owner knows me and allows me to use this space for entry." he told her.

"We'll still need to exit through that door and come in the proper way, though." he added.

Kalin nodded as she looked around.

"Makes sense." She commented.

"Let's go then." She said before motioning for him to lead the way, not releasing his hand. She saw no reason to for the moment, after all.

Rene didn't call attention to her not releasing his hand... nor did he feel any reason to. He liked it. Simple as that.

The two of them then ducked out of the small room, and made their way to the front of the restaurant, where they were greeted cheerily by a man that was working there.

"Rene!" he exclaimed.

"Yo!" Rene replied, as the two of them hugged.

"Ah, hello to you as well." the man then said to Kalin, bowing slightly.

"You are a friend of Rene, I can only assume." he said further with a smirk, and Kalin could tel he had glanced at the two of them holding hands.

"Of course. I've only been living with him for what, two years now?" she asked the medic.

"I should hope that we're friends at the very least."

Rene just smiled.

"Anyway, we're here to celebrate her graduating University." he told him.

"Of course! This way!" the man replied, escorting them to where they sat down.

Once they'd been given menus and they ordered drinks, he left to get them.

"Right." Rene said.

"Dunno if you can read Japanese, but the other side of the menu has translations." he told Kalin.

"There's a surprising amount of food here for a 1-page menu." he added.
