And full of cheese.

It looks cute, but I just keep putting off watching it for some reason.

@DeimosPoe24: I'll most certainly give The Raven a try, I do love me some Vincent Price.

Always worth the wait. >w> I do still need to watch Boxtrolls.

Granted that's why we don't get movies from Laika or whoever did Wallace and Gromit/Chicken Run very often, just every few years.
But that's why I have such a hard time tolerating lazy animation.

I've watched a few behind the scenes documentaries on these movies. The work that goes into each movie, more than that into each character. Hell Coraline's outfits on the puppets? Was hand-made. Someone sat there for hours, days, weeks with super tiny needles hand knitting each garment. There must be so much love going into it all.

@superbearwars: It's such a shame, because Laika's movies are so beloved but rarely make any money. Hell they're so good that I prefer the movie Coraline over the book (sometimes an unpopular opinion).

I've done some really shitty stop motion on my own, and it's very VERY difficult to do. Especially on the size and scale of something like Kubo and the Two-Strings. All the tiny little movements and changes you have to make. These movies are so good and such art. It's a shame they're so expensive to make, more often than not they actually don't make a profit. Even when they're big hits.
There's this really talented photographer on Tumblr who makes small stop motion videos with her ball-jointed doll. It is fascinating to me.

@superbearwars: Kubo and the Two Strings was so good, the stop motion is just gorgeous to watch. It actually took me too long to realize who his father was, and the twist with the baboon. I'm glad it got nominated for an Oscar, it deserved that nomination. I'm okay with who won though, they were all just too good to choose for a winner.

Hopefully not. I really hate when I have to make a beer run.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh -shudders- guys! I got sent to the store a bit ago, I was sent to get an 18 pack of beer. This creepy old guy who didn't believe in personal space started hitting on me. 'You're my favorite kind of woman', and it was just so gross he kept going. Telling me where I can find cheaper beer. -shudders again- I need a shower.
