@Anarchist Beauty:
I just hate how stupid parents were about hatchimals last year... Literally had a sister in law say that she wanted to get her one A WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I had to hold back from laughing in her face. Most stores had sold out at the start of October, so unless she was gonna buy off of a scalper she was SoL.

And then at work, I would have women constantly call me a liar when I told them they were sold out. Why would I lie?? Even when we did have 'secret inventory' of it (AKA: Black Friday stock), it was in boxes that weren't in the system as normal inventory and there was no way for me to FIND it, much less even know about it until afterward.

Seriously, I don't understand people who personally blame retail workers for things that are outside of their ability. I've met people who are as far as I'm concerned actually soulless.

Could rant forever, tbh.

@Geist:
Yeah, I know that feeling. Being at college has given me a lot of free time to lurk sites like this, but I'm still trying to work up the energy to like... get to know randos. >.<

@Anarchist Beauty: My SO and I are only just at the cusp of talking about marriage, so I don't really know what our stance on kids is lol.

Adopting a cat is 1000000000000% our first goal, though. Then a nice job that can allow us a steady living in our own home (or apartment idk), and then marriage. Then... kids?? More cats??? A dog? Robot children???

But yeah I don't know. Luckily his family is more distant than mine (I hate saying that as a plus...) so it doesn't come up too often.

I kind of dislike other people's children to some degree, though. Spending years working retail around toys has made it hard for me to look at kids below teenage years without a bit of squinting.

Though to be honest, the parents are usually worse.

Also random thought, but I hate Hatchimals so much.

@Anarchist Beauty: Ahh, that sucks.

I'm learning the horrors of inlaw meetups myself. Living with my boyfriend means meeting a lot of people that I've never met before who quickly want to know everything about me and when I wish to infect myself with the customary parasite*.

* = Not that I dislike children or people who decide to be parents. I have a phobia of pregnancy. It's creepy and painful and I want nothing to do with it.

@Geist: What a mood! I flake from avatar sites really easily as well. >< Voltra has been holding my attention pretty well so far, but I worry it won't last...

@Anarchist Beauty: I feel like family functions bring out a special kind of anxiety, since it's a room full of people saying how they haven't seen you since you were a baby ad nausem until you die of embarrassment.

@Anarchist Beauty: I still get anxious on sites, which is silly I know. I'm slowly, ever so slowly, working through it, though.

@meba: Hey, fellow newbie! :D

The only plot I had planned for so far was just a standard retelling of the book/&or/movie, but with a more attractive creation. A magic twist sounds cool too though! As long as I get to write a stitched up boy/girl learning the ways of the world from their creator, that's good to me. :P The plot was originally intended with romance in mind (insert a joke about 'making a boyfriend' here), but it's not necessary.

And yes~, vampires are great.

@Anarchist Beauty: I definitely know what you mean about a site feeling like home. I haven't felt that way since pre-2010 Gaia, and I've been sort of searching for a similar place for a while but I haven't had much luck. I think it's less the sites and more... me. I've gotten shy as I've aged and it makes it hard to make friends.

@Anarchist Beauty: Maybe I'll come back, but not any time soon. I still feel a bit raw in general at the rude reception I got. (That and vacation-based cabin fever has me hit hard in the lonelys and all... I'm a bit weak to bullies atm, being overemotional and all.)

Besides, Voltra's been a lot cooler so far. :P

@Anarchist Beauty:
'A bit'? Dragonlet was hardly just a bit touchy. (Though I was hardly better, in fairness.)

I'm not sure if I want to go back to Saph. The way everyone in the feedback subforum insulted anyone that was unhappy with Fawn's behavior really rubbed me the wrong way. I've never met people who were so rude on an avi site before, and as far as I saw, Fawn did nothing.

Admittedly, I'm really bitter, in particular towards Dragonlet, but I don't trust the staff there anymore... no offense to present company.

@Anarchist Beauty:
Have they fixed their awful staff contract yet, or is Fawn still kicking out all of her oldest staff members?

Nah I'm not salty at the other users getting angry at me for calling Fawn out for that. I'm fiiiiiiiiiine

@dragoness129: It should still be up, just fyi! I don't know of any character purges for Artix games, so you should be able to play it again. I know my DF account from 2016. I'd check out my old AQ one but... it was made with an old email so idk if I can access it.

(But if you do, share your character pages!! This is me! I... haven't done much.)

Hey, I'm a CR newbie! I'm still in the middle of episode one (my net is wonky so trying to watch Youtube while multitasking is easier said than done... ;A;) but I really like it!

I also play tabletop games. I don't have much actual experience with D&D though. I own the books for 3rd, 4th, and 5th, but Pathfinder is the game I play most.

@Shark:

Yeeeees!! They made their own game launcher so that when Flash Player eventually dies, all their old games are still around! (And they also have AQ3D on there, but I already have it on steam so, :shrug: )

It's just nice to have it since I bought a dragon amulet a few years ago, and plan to get a guardian pass for AQ one day as well. I really like their games. They're simple, but enjoyable on days where I just feel too lazy for anything else.

@Ixora: Yes and no. If I'm playing a game that I can resize the window of, then I watch it side by side with my game, but some I can't do that so instead of a lets play, I watch listen to something like a long-winded Errant Signal episode or something (ES is a channel that talks at length about game design and stuff)
