Zeke was silent.

"....no." he said.

"I don't." he admitted, falling to his knees.

"It... it all goes blank after I pick her up." he then admitted.

"And... it picks up again... well... now." he continued.

"What's going on...? What happened...?" he then asked the air.

".....what did I do...?" he wondered aloud, despair and sadness in his tone now.

Uriel looked confused still, but nodded.

"Yes, of course." he replied, stepping up to Angela.

"I'll take you home." he told her.

"....but... why was I not getting any reading...?" he then mumbled to himself, taking Angela's hand before they both disappeared.

"What... what's happening...?" Zeke muttered.

"None of this makes sense!" he exclaimed.

"Wh-what?" Zeke asked.

"I... I never said such a thing." he said.

"I don't remember telling you that." he went on, before pausing.

"Or... or did... I...?" he then asked himself, seemingly having an internal conflict.

Uriel, meanwhile, just sighed.

"Don't talk of levels and status." he told Angela. "I... don't observe that stuff so much, anymore." he muttered. "I'll do a search for her." he then said, before closing his eyes and doing a 'sweep'.

However, as he did, they all saw discomfort in his expression, and confusion.

"....I... I cannot locate her." he said.

"I keep telling you, I DI-" Zeke started to protest, but a glare from Angela shut him RIGHT up.

"...." he was then silent, as Uriel stepped into the house from the backyard, and towards them.

"All right, all right." he said.

"What's all the hullabaloo about?" he asked, pausing when he saw Angela, and her expression.

"Ohhhh dear." he said, shaking his head slightly.

"All right, fill me in." he told them.

"I'll get some tea for you, then." Ryker told him.

"We have so many blends." he chuckled.

"And yeah, coffee." he then added.

"Oh, by the way..." he then said further, trailing off a little.

"Seems our dragon friend is really interested in protecting you." he told Eke.

"She's certainly a powerful ally."

"I... I..." Zeke stammered.

"I just told you!" he said.

"Come on! I just said it!" he insisted.

"We can ask Mom and Dad!" he told her further.

"Listen, I love Liv! I care about her so much! You know that! I'd NEVER hurt her!" he then said.

"I would never do anything like cause her to go missing!" he pleaded.

"I swear to you! She was here, and I brought her back home!"

"Wh... what...?" Zeke stammered.

"What did I do with her?" he asked.

"I took her home!" he said.

"I took her Friday, and returned her on Sunday night." he continued.

"I have a vivid memory of that." he then told her.

"Yes, I remember it clearly!" he insisted further, a VERY tiny sheen of red visible in his irises for a fraction of a second.

A couple of minutes later, Zeke approached her.

"...Angela?" he asked.

"What's wrong?" he asked her.

"You look very worried." he commented, noticing the expression on her face.

"....did something happen to Liv...?" he then asked her.

"Please tell me Liv is okay." he went on, his voice getting quieter.

"Of course." Hal replied.

"Just say the words." Hal responded.

"I wish I was at Aimee LeBlanc's house. Right now." Angela wished.

Hal snapped his fingers, and the next thing Angela knew, she was in France, standing in front of the door to Aimee's home.

"Angela, wait!" Hal exclaimed, getting up.

He quickly made his way over towards her, and wrapped his arms around her.

"Angela, I'm sorry." he said.

"I can't help but feel I'm missing something, here. Like there's a bigger piece of this that leads to another conclusion, but it escapes me right now." he told her.

"But know that we're all here for you. I'M here for you." he stressed.

"And while I couldn't grant you information about Olivia's location... I CAN grant you instant transportation to wherever you'd like to start in France."

"......nothing?" Hal asked. "What? Nothing? You received NO information?" he asked her.

She just nodded.

"No... no, that can't be." he said quietly. "That's impossible. She... no... Olivia CAN'T be..." he went on.

"Of... of course. Take... take as much time as you want." he then told Angela, before leaning forward, his hands in his hair.

"How... how could this happen...?" he mumbled to himself.

"They only way no information was gained was if she-" he started to say, before suddenly pausing.

"No." he mumbled.

"I refuse to believe that." he said angrily.

"How could that have happened!?"

"....." Hal was silent as Angela made her wish.

Just straight up made her wish. No asking. No roundabout speaking. No hypotheticals. She made a wish.

That alone was enough to concern him.

The fact that it involved Liv's whereabouts was even MORE concerned.

As such, he brought a hand up, fingers together.

"Granted." he said, snapping them.

"Good luck!" Hal called to her.

About a week later, there had been no word from Terra, but Hal knew that patience was key. He refused to do anything akin to rush her, especially after he'd sensed the darkness in her tone earlier.

He was busying himself with paperwork and such, and was about to take a small break, when he heard his receptionist telling someone that they couldn't just go into his office... moments before they did just that.

It was Angela. And she did NOT look pleased.

"...can I help you?" he asked her.

The darkness had not been missed by Hal.

And it frightened him.

"Ah, good." he said.

"Glad to hear it." he told her.

"Please let me know whenever you find anything out." he then told her.

"The sooner, the better, obviously." he reasoned.

"And feel free to use anywhere in the Unit to track. Anywhere that you'd find easier to concentrate."
