Ryker was silent for a moment.

"If you think you can." he said.

"I.... ngh." he mumbled, scratching the back of his head.

"I know how to give advice on women, yet I know nothing about them, myself." he then admitted.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to say or do." he went on.

"I never thought I'd need to worry about it."

Ryker regained control, and thought for a moment.

"......hm." he mumbled.

"I... maybe..." he said.

"Yeah... yeah, maybe." he agreed.

He then sighed heavily, shaking his head slightly.

"You're right." he admitted, smiling at him.

Again, Hal sighed.

"I can see that." he said.

"I hope being here helps more, over time." he continued as they handed the papers back.

"Now, I have dorms ready for you, two of them." he went on.

"You'll have full reign of the Unit, save for employee-only areas." he continued. "Unless given special permissions, such as Kiah allowing you in her lab." he then specified.

"Now, do you have any questions for ME?" he asked.

"....." Hal was silent for a moment.

"Ah-ha." he said.

"Yes, we're well aware of the issues with familiars right now, and we're working to solve it." he told her.

"I suppose you'll be staying here until such time?" he asked.

"If that's all right." Andrew responded.

"More than all right." Hal assured them.

"I'll need you to sign some forms, just so you're officially registered as guests here." he then added, sliding 4 pieces of paper towards them.

They all looked at her when she said that.

"...excuse me?" Hal asked.

"Where is who?" he asked her.

"I don't know whom you're looking for, but perhaps we can get this started?" he then suggested.

"Please." Andrew replied.

'Anna, you okay?' he sent telepathically to her.

Jake couldn't help but laugh at the exchange.

"She reminds me of a friend of mine." he said.

"They'd get along." he told her. "Or try to kill each other." he went on, thinking about the logistics of that scenario.

"Regardless, I'm not as rare as one might think." he then said to Lily. "We're just REALLY good at hiding." he added with a wink, before they heard tapping on the door to the Unit.

"I'm here!" Azazel said.

"He'll show you to Agent Sharp's office." Jake told the draydins, pressing the button and opening the door for them.

Jake raised an eyebrow when Anna smacked Lily upside the head.

"Right." he said.

"I can tell." he told her.

"I just went with what seems to be most prevalent." he went on, before buzzing someone.

"Hey, someone to security checkpoint ASAP. Need an escort." he said into it.

"Got it." someone responded, before he let go of the button.

"So." Andrew commented. "Are you a Ramaarin?" he asked Jake.

"In the flesh." Jake confirmed.

Andrew was on alert as well... but he seemed to have a slightly less degree of knowing and understanding as Anna.

Meanwhile, the one behind the desk lowered his newspaper.

"Cole family, party of 4?" he asked with a smirk.

"That's us." Andrew responded.

Lily then watched as Jake's forked tongue darted out of his mouth a few times.

"Ah, draydins." he commented.

"Makes sense." he said further.

"I'll get someone to escort you to Agent Sharp's office." he then informed the family.

Ryker froze when the questions were asked.

"I..." he stammered.

"She IS quite attractive, yes." he admitted.

"And... will I ever date? I don't know." he admitted, before the demon took over.

"In an optimal world? No." he told Eke bluntly.

"The queen should hopefully still be alive out there." he added.

"You gave me enough." he responded.

"I'll ask them more when they get here." he told her.

Sure enough, the time came, and the draydins were ready to teleport there.

"All right." Andrew said.

"Everyone got all they want to take with that?" he asked.

"....yep." Luke responded, sounding a little on edge.

He was nervous to be around his sister, as he was unsure if she would try and hurt him.

Hal wrote down what Hollie said, and nodded to himself.

"I'll pass the info along to Jake." he said.

"I'll make sure there are dorms set up for them as well." he added.

"Also, I'll see to it that they have visitors passes and such." he went on, before pausing.

"Give me... 45 minutes or so to have that all done." he then informed her.

"Unless they need it urgently."

Ash hung up the phone and looked at Anna.

"An hour." he told her. "Make sure you have everything you'll want or need in that time." he said.

Meanwhile, Hal sighed lightly as Hollie asked her question.

"We always have space." he told her.

"I'll need to know about these acquaintances of yours, though."{/b] he then said. [b]"How many there are, what sort of mana they have, their reasons for needing this place..." he listed.

"...or, actually, I'll ask them myself." he then said.

"What are they, and what do they look like?" he asked, simplifying things.

"So Jake will know what to expect."

Ash just smiled a little.

"No worries." he responded.

He then dialled Hollie's number and greeted her when she answered.

"Hey, listen, the draydins need to hole up in the Unit in San Diego. It's... currently a bit of a sanctuary there, and I can't say why." he told her.

"Trust me on this, though." he continued.

"Anyway, can you tell Agent Sharp to expect the 4 of them, so his security team knows?" he asked.

"I get the feeling I'm already in a bit of trouble for directly sending someone in there myself, earlier..." he admitted sheepishly.

"I'll call Hollie." Ash responded.

"She'll then tell Agent Sharp, the head of the place, who will tell his head of security to expect you." he told her.

"It helps that they're an item now." he chuckled.

"Are all of you going?" he then asked.

"Which is to say, you, Andrew, Lily, and Luke?" he clarified.

"Just so there's no hiccups." he reasoned, taking out his phone.
