Aly nodded.

"Yes." she replied.

"Just lay down on a couch and relax. I'll be able to make something up to help normalise things." she told him, as Ryker showed up.

"I'll help get him to a couch." he offered.

"And coffee did this to him, if that helps." he added.

"It does." Aly replied with a nod, before going to get to work.

Zeke raised an eyebrow when he heard that exchange.

"Uh..." he stammered.

"Guessing your raven has a bit of an attitude." he commented.

"But... yeah, you're right." he sighed.

"And yes, I think that getting that beak looked into might be a good idea." he agreed, before thinking about it.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Do we know any veterinarians?" he asked. "I know we know doctors and medics, but... I don't think we know any actual vets."

Zeke followed as well, and Jake sighed.

"There's a bit of that, yeah." he mumbled.

"Not really gonna ask questions, though." he said further.

Meanwhile, Zeke continued to follow Aedan, before pausing.

"...you don't remember where you were, or where Vanessa is, do you?" he asked.

The eagle made a small noise in response.

"...didn't think so." Zeke said with a deep sigh.

"......." Zeke was silent, before turning and following her.

"I... I see." he said.

"I suppose that DOES make sense." he admitted as they went back into the security checkpoint.

"Welcome back." Jake greeted them.

"Looks like you've got someone new." he told Aedan, looking at Corvo.

"Friend of yours?" he asked with a light chuckle, before 'sniffing' their mana and buzzing them in.

"Go on."

"....hm?" Zeke muttered, as he stroked Talon's head.

"Ah... wait..." he said.

"Aedan, is... is that raven your... familiar?" he asked.

"I... didn't know you had a familiar at all." he admitted, thinking a little.

"Also... it looks a bit... different." he then commented, taking a closer look at Corvo.

"Eyes seem a bit clouded. And... is the beak cracked...?" he asked, trailing off a little at the end.

After a few seconds of looking, Aedan's gaze reached the skies... where a pair of bird could be seen in the distance coming towards her.

It was then that Zeke came rushing out of the Unit, having followed her.

"Talon!" he called out, looking around and seeing the pair of avians coming their way.

"...Talon!" he exclaimed.

"....but what's that with him...?" he then asked quietly, as they got closer and closer.

Sure enough, one of the birds was Talon... but there was also a raven following closely behind.

"Ah... well? I guess?" Zeke replied.

"He was pretty burnt out." he told her.

"I think he's taking a day to recoup and recharge." he went on.

"As it seems like this guy is... a blank slate, the boss thinks it's not quite emergency levels." he continued.

"......" he was then silent, and sighed.

"Maybe he can help us find Liv..." he then mumbled.

It was at that point the two of them suddenly sensed... something. Something weird, but... almost comforting. Something... familiar.

And something Aedan had not felt for a LONG time.

"Good to know." Hal replied.

"I'll make sure my day is clear." he told her with a chuckle.

"Thank you once again." he finished.

Meanwhile, Zeke had made his way down to the medical wing.

"Hey." he greeted Aedan.

"Sharp knows." he told her.

"How's that Chris guy doing?" he asked.

"I... yes, I do have the means for loose leaf." Hal confirmed, taking the box.

"...admittedly, I am tempted to sniff it now." he admitted. "But I will wait until I get home, should I decide to." he told her.

"For now, I just want to get back and get reacquainted with my bed." he continued.

"Thank you for this." he then said with a smile.

"I really need the rest. Been pulling too many late-nights in a row." he admitted sheepishly.

Hal just sighed deeply.

"The tea." he said.

"I'll drink the tea when I get home." he told her.

"And relax, I'm out of the office anyway. Taking a sick day, essentially." he then assured her.

"That being said, I'm on call for emergencies, but Agent King is going to be taking my place in the office." he continued.

"Regardless, a blend to help knock me out would be greatly appreciated."

"Got it." Ryker responded, before disappearing to get her.

Sure enough, about a minute later, Aly rushed into the room.

"Eke!" she exclaimed.

"Eke, stay calm." she told him.

"Do you need an ambulance?" she asked.

"Or do you think you have time for me to whip up something to counter this?"

"......hm." Ryker muttered.

"I see." he said, his voice betraying the concern he felt.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked.

He looked around a little, thinking about what they had, and if it could help.

"Or is there anything here that CAN help..." he muttered

"....I see." Hal replied.

"Well, keep him under observation." he told Zeke.

"We'll deal with him later." he said further.

"I'll tell Aedan that." Zeke responded, before leaving them.

"...so she threw her #1 lackey away. Wonder if he was used up, or if he did something to break the camel's back, so to speak." he wondered aloud, before shaking his head.

"WAY too tired to ponder that right now." he mumbled.

"Got it!" Zeke responded, making his way towards Sharp's office.

When he got there, he saw that Sharp and Terra seemed to be having a more informal conversation, which stopped when Hal noticed Zeke was there.

"Is it an emergency?" Hal asked.

"I don't... think so." Zeke replied.

"We didn't find any wood elves out there, but we DID find Christopher Jenkins, the #1 lackey for Vanessa Encrae." he informed them.

"....excuse me." Hal said, his tone surprised, shocked, and unimpressed. Mostly because he was wondering how Zeke could see this as anything BUT an emergency.

"But... he was beaten to within an inch of his life, and seems to have no memory." Zeke then said. "Of ANYTHING. At ALL." he stressed.

".....I.... see." was all Sharp could respond with, as he processed that new piece of info.
