Azazel shook his head.

"You didn't 'steal' it, I volunteered it willingly." he told her.

"And I'd happily do it again." he assured her further, before sitting down next to her when he was close enough.

"I'm glad I was able to help. I'm just glad that you seem to be okay NOW." he continued.

"And there's nothing to be sorry for." he then added.

"I'm happy to help one of my closest friends." he reasoned.

"Regardless, if you feel you need company again, or need someone to be here suddenly, call me, no matter what." he finished.

Azazel just smiled at her as she said what she did.

"That's good." he said.

"I'm glad your situation has improved." he told her. "Even if just a little. Improvement is improvement." he reasoned.

He then sighed quietly, though there was relief in it, before standing up and making his way over.

"I really should be going soon." he lamented.

"I'm not on a strict time budget or anything, but I do have a few things to finish in the next couple of days. And if I manage to finish them today, that means more time for searching for some info to help you... more permanently." he reasoned.

"..." Azazel was silent, before getting closer to her.

He wrapped an arm around her, and held her close to him, trying to reassure her.

"I..." he stammered.

"I don't want to say it is. I don't want to believe it is." he told her.

"I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure of it." he went on.

Azazel shook his head.

"They wouldn't mean as much if they weren't made by you." he told her.

"And they were delicious." he said.

"Cain had most of them." he chuckled, understating it severely.

"But Erica, please don't give up hope." he then said.

"I'm doing all I can, and I promise I will find SOMETHING." he vowed.

"I understand." Azazel replied.

"Just... yeah. I can't really and truly KNOW what you're going through, but... I WILL try and help. I can tell that you need it right now, more than ever before." he commented.

"...oh, yes." he then said.

"I brought back the container." he told her, gesturing to where he'd dropped it when he rushed over towards her.

"I... dropped it in my panic." he admitted quietly.

"But it's been cleaned and such, so... yeah." he muttered further.

"Thanks again for them."

Azazel shook his head.

"No, no, no." he said.

"No, you can't be out of time yet." he told her, Roxie's words echoing in his mind.

I'm amazed she's lasted this long...

"I'm sure this is just... some weird spike." he commented.

"I'm sure this will end soon. Like I said, I'm trying to find either a way to help, or perhaps find some info that will lead TO a way to help." he went on.

"There's still a lot of books to go through, but I'm plowing through them as quickly as I can." he assured her further.

"...I... I see." Azazel responded.

"Yes, I'll... let Sharp know, of course." he told her.

He then reached a hand forward and gently laid it on her arm. He felt the marking pulse... more actively than ever before.

'...the hell is going on?' he asked himself.

'WHY is this happening to her!?' he mentally exclaimed.

"I hope it doesn't last long either." he said.

"Past couple of days were hell, huh?" he asked her.

Azazel bit his lip when she said all this, the way she said it.

The best way he could liken this feeling is that his heart was breaking. He felt so helpless right now, seeing her hurt and scared like this.

But what could he do? Was it really nothing?

"Erica..." he mumbled.

"I..." he stammered.

"I'll find something to help." he told her.

"I... I won't stop until I do." he vowed.

"You don't deserve this. I will find a way to help you."

"I... I see." Azazel muttered.

"That's... that's still worrisome." he said.

He then crossed his arms over his chest.

"....maybe I should find a specialist." he mumbled.

"Someone that knows about this sort of thing." he continued. "...but underworld physicians are... well... they're hell to deal with." he grumbled.

He then looked at Erica and sat at the end of the couch, right by her feet.

"...there anything you feel like having, in terms of food or drink?" he asked. He didn't know what to do here, but he wanted to try to give her SOME relief and/or happiness right now.

"...that's concerning." Azazel responded.

"You seemed all right when I left." he said. "...well... I mean... better than you are NOW..." he clarified.

"And you don't know?" he asked.

"Yeah, see... that's worrisome." he mumbled further.

He then shook his head and sighed quietly.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked.

"I'm trying to find info about this, but... nothing's coming up." he lamented. "I'm still trying, though." he promised her.

"......." he was silent for a moment, before withdrawing his hand and taking a small step back.

"Hey." he said.

"Um... been a bit since anyone's seen you. Or... heard from you." he commented.

"And you weren't answering your phone or texts." he went on. "Just... came by to see if you were all right." he told her. "When you didn't answer the door, I got a bit panicked and teleported in." he continued.

".....are you all right?" he asked.

"Is... everything okay?"

"...." Azazel was silent for a moment as he regarded this, before his eyes widened.

"Shit!" he cursed, before racing closer towards her.

"Erica!?" he asked when he was close enough.

"Erica, are you all right?" he asked her.

He then hesitantly extended his hand towards her... and gently placed it on her shoulder.

"Erica?" he whispered, before getting in even closer, to see if she had any life signs.

Feeling concern now, Azazel tried calling her.

No answer.

With that, his mind was made up, and he disappeared from where he was, appearing in the backyard of Erica's home, out of sight of her neighbours, and made his way to her back door.

He then knocked on it. Loudly.

"Erica!?" he called in.

"Erica, it's me, Az!" he said further, hoping that if she was all right, this would get her attention.

Azazel watched her go, before sighing.

"...sometimes I think she enjoys this far TOO much." he said.

He then shook his head, and thought for a moment, before returning back to his home, and getting the container that had housed the brownies she'd sent him home with.

He'd not had any, as all his free time had been spent looking for information, and as a result, Cain had eaten all of them.

Once he grabbed it, he paused for a moment.

"Guess I should check first." he said.

He then got out his phone.

Hey, you doing all right? he sent to Erica's phone.
