Another just sighed.

"Your existence is is a slight." they said.

"We're heard of you." they went on. "A PURE-aligned necromancer?" they asked.

"No. Those are not compatible." they told her.

The first one then stepped forward.

"Necromancy is for the dark. Pure is for good." they said.

"So we aim to restore balance."

As deep as she could ended up being to where there was a dead-end, but it was clear that nobody would see her there. But it was also clear that someone had, indeed, been following her.

More than one person, actually.

For when she turned around, she saw a group of 5 people standing there, blocking her exit.

"Well, then." one said.

"Looks like this is the end of the line for you." they told her.

"Thanks for making this easier for us. Nobody'll see ANYTHING here." they added.

Even though she realised that someone was following her, whenever she stopped to scan her surroundings, she saw nothing out of the ordinary. She looked around for people that seemed familiar, like she'd seem them in other parts of the market, but nobody jumped out.

Then again, the marker was packed, so it would be easy for someone to disappear into the crowd.

Still didn't change the fact that she was aware someone was tailing her.

And it was unnerving her greatly.

It also didn't help that it was a particularly dry day, so the concerns for dust flying up was higher.

Vincent was silent once more, before sighing again.

"And yet I do." he said.

"I love you two like you were my own children." he told them.

"I can't help but worry about you... even moreso now." he went on.

"All I can do is hope this specialist can help." he lamented.

"A specialist, eh?" Vincent replied.

"Well, I hope they can help." he told her.

"...because you deserve better than that horrid cough." he reasoned.

"And I wish I could help." he lamented.

"But... well... I mean, I'll stop by far more often." he then assured her.

"I promise I won't be so absent from your life." he said guiltily.

"...." Vincent didn't say anything at first, before just sighing.

"If you say so." he said.

"At least you're breathing now. Regularly, anyway." he mumbled.

"That coughing was... nasty, though." he then commented.

"...there has to be something that can be done for it..." he mused, as he thought about it, pondering ways to potentially help.

Vincent was immediately very concerned now.

She was coughing violently, and it seemed like she was actually having trouble breathing between each cough.

"Aimee!?" he exclaimed, getting closer.

He wondered what to do here. Could he use his wind mana to help her breathe? Would that be too risky? Was it worth the risk?

He decided to wait and see what happened. To see if this coughing fit would subside on its own.

He couldn't deny that he hated seeing this, and it made him feel immense worry and concern for her.

Ryker followed, and looked as Eke started to climb.

He then shrugged, and started to scale the cliff as well.

"Hey." he said.

"Don't push yourself TOO hard." he told Eke.

"Take a break if you need it. This cliff may be steep, but I think I see a few small ledge areas where you might be able to sit."

"Usual?" Vincent asked.

"It sounds like it's been getting worse." he told her.

"..." he was then silent, before sitting down across from her.

"Are you all right?" he asked.

"I mean, really." he said.

"Has it just been getting worse and worse over time?" he asked further.

"Is this something we should seriously be concerning ourselves with?"

"..." he was silent as Aimee excused herself, and thought he heard the wheeze.

"...hm." he mumbled.

He then slowly rose to his feet, and started to follow her.

"Aimee?" he said.

"...are you all right?" he asked, as he slowly closed the distance... wondering how far she'd gone.

Vincent raised an eyebrow, and smirked.

"Well, I said I had samples." he told her.

"So let's start with that." he said.

He then lifted up the bag he'd dropped on the floor when he went inside, and started pulling out various containers of herbs and spices, telling her what they were called, and what they did, as well as how they tasted.

He did the same with the herbs, and told her of the recipes and food he'd tried.

"...huh. I see." Vincent replied.

"Well... regardless, I owe him so much now." he said.

"He's helped my children when they needed it the most." he reasoned.

"Maybe I'll ask your Aunt, personally." he went on, scratching at his chin.

"Regardless, perhaps now is the time to share my bounty with you." he suggested.

"I have so much for you to try and sample." he smiled.

"Oh... I see..." he replied.

"That's... nothing short of a miracle." he commented.

"But... well, stranger things have happened." he then admitted.

He then looked around slightly, and smiled.

"And this is a very nice place." he told her.

"Who's was it?" he asked.

"I would very much like to thank them personally."

He just sighed heavily.

"I see." he said.

"I'm glad you and Lex made it out alive, let alone all right." he told her.

"How?" he asked.

"I assume Lex was able to act quickly and get you both out?" he asked her.

"Because all that smoke would not have been good for you, to massively understate it." he added concernedly.
