Julien just sighed.

"Yeah." he said.

"I know." he replied.

"I can think of a number of reasons why I wouldn't be able to get you." he told her.

"...can think of a number of reasons why I wouldn't be able to get Demitra, but THAT happened..." he then muttered.

"But you know what I mean." he said.

"Still. I'm just trying to say you are an amazing person."

"Thank you." Julien replied with a smile.

"You... you've been wonderful." he told her.

"You're truly an amazing person." he said further, before sighing quietly.

"Know something?" he asked.

"If I hadn't met Demitra first..." he went on, before pausing.

"Well... you know." he finished.

He figured it might be best to not actually SAY it, but knew she would know what he meant.

"Yes." Julien responded.

"I know." he said.

"...." he was then silent, before sighing and shaking his head.

"It's not evil. She has to know that. What she can do is not inherently evil." he continued.

"We need to show her she needs to be careful, but we cannot act like we're frightened of it. That sort of behaviour could colour her attitude negatively for the rest of her life." he went on.

"And that is the last thing I want." he stated further.

"We need to make sure she knows not to use this power lightly, or haphazardly."

"That's true." Julien responded.

"She's rather bright, and quite adaptive." he commented.

"And Kaia is one heck of an adventurous spirit." he went on. "She does what she likes, and wants to have fun." he said further.

"...heh." he then chuckled.

"Similar in so many ways, but they couldn't be more different." he went on, shaking his head and smiling a little.

"This development doesn't change the fact that I feel blessed to have them." he told Racquel.

"I wouldn't trade them... this life... for anything."

"Indeed." Julien agreed.

"I should... make sure all loose ends are tied before I make any decisions." he said.

He was then silent, and shook his head.

"...I feel bad for Kiah." he then commented.

"She seemed... so scared about that rune." he said further.

"I don't want her to be. But I don't want Kaia to think the rune is inherently bad." he went on, clearly conflicted over this.

Julien nodded again.

"Right." he said.

"I'll remember that." he told her.

"And I'll keep you updated." he went on.

"I'll come back as frequently as possible, when I know it's safe to." he continued.

"I don't want to lead anyone back here that might... well..." he then stammered, shaking his head.

"No repeats of the past."

Julien nodded.

"All right." he replied.

"As I said, I'll have to use some judgement calls." he went on.

"...and... not ask around." he muttered.

"Won't do anyone any good to know I'm searching for Rowena Fyrane." he mumbled further.

"And... I assume, since you're twins, I'm looking for someone that looks like you." he added.

"I think all the help in the world will be needed here." Julien responded.

"I'll need to know what your sister was like... before... her... yeah." he mumbled.

"The best way to track someone is to know their habits." he reasoned.

"And there's no reason to think that she'll not revert back to some of her old ways... in the best way possible, I mean." he clarified.

"Though she'll probably NOT want to be found." he then muttered.

"So I'll need to start thinking remote areas and such."

Julien just grimaced slightly.

"I hate saying 'fault' for this." he said.

"This... I don't want this to be a punishment." he said further.

"...although, nobody says I have to be completely gone." he then realised.

"I... can teleport." he said.

"I can stop by every so often, just to show the girls I'm still here."

"Well, I will try and find that out." Julien responded.

"...however, I want to wait until Demitra comes back." he then said.

"The girls are smart for their age, yes, but I get the feeling both parents shouldn't be absent until after we've discussed this with them." he continued.

"You're wonderful, they adore you, but they need to know that I'm not leaving because I want to, or that it's anyone's fault." he went on.

"...and having Demitra here may soften the blow a little, regardless of how we explain it."

"........" Julien was silent for a moment.

"Then there's only one thing for me to do." he told her.

"When Demitra gets back... I'm going to tell her what's happened." he said.

"And then I'm going to search." he went on.

"Search for your sister." he confirmed.

"She knows more about this than anyone else, and we need this knowledge, now more than ever." he reasoned.

"You've said scrying won't work, and I doubt anyone at Candentus Lux will want to track her, or at the very least, the leader won't want a top hunter on such a risky and potentially long-term quest." he went on.

"So. I know blood. I know how to track it... better than most." he listed off.

"I'll find her and seek answers." he said.

"If she's truly changed, she'll at least grant me an audience and hear me out."

"Damn it." Julien cursed through gritted teeth.

"Looks like it's up to ME, then." he said.

"And I'm scared." he told her.

"I know MY rune, but I know next to nothing about the Fyrane rune." he said further.

"So... I just gotta... wing it." he lamented.

"When Kaia wakes up tomorrow... I need to try and explain what she has." he went on.

"....as I try and figure it out, too."

"I need to talk to Demitra when she gets back." Julien replied.

"I... well... I can't talk to her about this alone." he said.

"I know next to nothing about the Fyrane curse and how it works." he went on.

"Maybe Demitra does?" he suggested.

"Because I can tell her about MY aspect, but she was legitimately puppeting that animal." he went on.

"As far as I know, neither of our bloodlines can DO that."

He shook his head.

"No." he replied.

"I saw none." he told her. "At all." he continued.

"And it seemed like she was... well, she was using her rune, and it looked like nothing was happening to her." he explained further.

"So, from what I've seen and heard... no chain."
