Everything about this is both genius and ridiculous.

My cat likes when she can't see my hand manipulating her toys, so I've resolved to spoiling her by getting her a remote control toy. Five seconds into my search and this pops up.

I'm done. Lmao.

@Anarchist Beauty: Haha, agreed. I don't unless I have to. I have to get up at least an hour before work, even though it really only takes me 20 or so minutes to get ready, only because the longer I am awake prior, the less tired I get.

It's a bit strange because I will be fine and wide awake until the car starts moving. I think it might have something to do with having insomnia, even as a little boy. Until my my mom started working nights, she would be desperate to get me tf to sleep and drive around aimlessly, since that worked every time.

Shamrock Shamus or McSwiggins. Both on Caedon.

I get addicted to things extremely easily, Lupus, allergies to seemingly everything, insomnia yet the ability to magically fall asleep while driving, even if it's just 10 minutes and I have nearly killed myself and the family on two separate occasions doing so, klutzy, extremely short fused at times and other times extremely patient, I have the ability to eat as much as possible in one sitting and still be hungry, among other things.

Hi. I am back, maybe.

I have been busy. I had surgery in April, my youngest turned 1 in may and I got married in June. I have also been up and down, mood wise (which is why I left in the first place. Moods got too difficult to deal with, so I scurried away.)

@Lady Luna: Thank you! I am so happy. I took so much for granted. I am sorry I ever did. I want nothing more than to live a relatively normal life (I know normal isn't actually real but I mean, things like being able to drink fluids as much as I want without worrying about it causing my heart to stop, going to work, not having to do dialysis every other day, and even peeing. Lol)
I am so excited.
Right. But the benefits highly outweigh the risks.

Haha she deserves it.

Nice. : ) What type of artwork is the commission?
I brought my tablet and I may draw when I can sit up next.

@Lady Luna: Its almost more painful than an actual procedure. I don't know how they sleep at night. Not only will this surgery actually cut their spending on me in the long run (because dialysis every other day for the rest of my life is going to add up. Dialysis is not cheap.) but it would also, help protect me from possible future medical emergencies regarding my issue and the exiting thing for me is that if there's no complications from this, my life expectancy is much more plus I can go back to work and get off disability. I want to be around for my kids. I want to work.

I am doing good now. The surgery went smoothly and I thought for sure that I was going to be in pain and complete misery after. But even the day of, after I woke up, I barely feel anything. It honestly hurt worse to rip a bandaid off after, which is a bit ridiculous. Lol. But it does get sore if I sit up too long. Not unbearable though.

I have had more intense procedures though. I have had a lung removed, organs rearranged, my prostate removed, my tonsils removed, my broken bones pieced back together and held by screws and my screws taken out, so I think my pain tolerance may be a pretty high because I have just been a walking medical disaster my whole life.

I am glad it was. That lady deserves a bonus, a vacation and a raise. She did so much for me. I want to send her a thank you card when I get home. It's not a lot but I want her to know that I sincerely appreciate her patience and persistence for getting me covered.

How are you?

@Miss Kitty: Thank you. : ) They are. My girlfriend is here though. We are a couple hours from home and she can go back if she wants but she doesn't want to leave me. She's a nurse herself but for a different specialty. She says she can't leave me here alone after surgery and vulnerable and feel good about it. Though, our children miss both of us.

How are you? What are you up to?

Hi. I had surgery Friday. I battled the insurance for it and was approved, then denied four times just mere days before each, every time for bogus reasons. The last time they did it was on April 9th (their reason this time was that I had a set date that they wanted me to get it by and I did not but only because they changed their minds and denied it every time right before.) The lady who works with insurance companies for the patients resubmitted the claim and harassed them into saying yes on April 18th.

And here I am at the hospital until Friday.

I am bored and miss my babies. Want to keep me company?
Posted in losing large amounts of weight Posted 7 years ago
@Totalanimefan: Thank you. : ) The weight loss gets easier when you figure out how to do it. It's different for everyone and for me, I try to eat more nutritional foods but I also don't cut myself off from foods like sweets completely. The key to this is just learning how to enjoy without over doing it. Your body still needs fats and sugars after all but moderation is crucial. Even too much of a single healthy food is not good. I heard that the only food that you could live solely off of is avocado. But avocado is stupid. Lol.
I have learned ways to keep snack portions under control. I think I have said it already but put some handfuls of chips in a baggie, put the bag of chips away and bring the baggie back to your seat. It eliminates mindlessly eating an entire bag.
I am lactose in intolerant, but I still try to get enough dairy, as long as I have enough lactaid.
I also eat several smaller meals a day instead of three big meals. I will have 5 or 6 small meals. It makes me feel feel like I am eating more but I'm eating the same as three big meals, just more often. It satisfies my craving to constantly stuff my face hole.

The anger issues are working out okay. I was a bit of an ass today but I just had surgery on Friday and I am bored, uncomfortable and homesick so I am admittedly irritable. Though it's not an excuse and I need to cut my shit.

@Eruca: Ahaha. Sorry. I tend to be insanely straight forward and lack a filter.

She's doing better. They were able to take the screw out after some work. She was up and walking around again by the day after. It really just hurts her now when she has to reposition her leg in bed. She is not a baby with pain but the way it makes her whimper makes me sad.

I had screws in my ankle after an injury I got playing ice hockey as a kid and I had to have them removed as well because it was causing me a lot of problems. So, I am able to sympathize with her.

@Juneberry: Lol no. It's kind of a shame to because oral health is connected to the rest of your health, from what my mom said when I was growing up...either that or she was just trying to scare me little Shamus into brushing my teeth more diligently and more often.

I am extremely glad to hear that they covered your heart procedure. What did you have done, if I may ask? My 5 year old, Ant has a pacemaker. I am grateful that his insurance company (government insurance) couldn't pull the "immigration card" on him, like they have me multiple times just this year. He was born here but both his mother and I are from other countries. : /
Insurance is almost a scam. It is just slightly shy from being an illegal scam though. They talk you into paying as much as you possibly can afford for things that you probably won't need by scaring you with "what ifs" and then turn around and use loopholes that they strategically and subtly created. That way they don't need to pay for what you pay them for. Because money means more than human lives in this world.
Thanks. I hope so to. : P

@Vii: Thank you. : ) I have hope. I refuse to give up. My kids depend on me too much to do so.

I didn't either. I am not sure if it's a normal thing or not. Luckily he's only got one extra. : P

Alright. My girlfriend had surgery today, so I have been waiting on her hand and foot, while doing all the house work (which that part is normal tbh) as well as taking care of my small army of children.
She got in an accident the day before Halloween that almost killed her. She had to have screws put in her leg. We thought that a screw was popping out. You could see it push up against her skin and I could feel it when I was running my hands up and down her legs. It was causing her pain. So she went to get it taken out. Turns out that the bone grew over the screw and it was her bone that I was rubbing...which is gross yet intriguing.

@Juneberry: It's weird. They've got like, one below the others. I will give them the hugs from you. Your poor friend. That's terrible. I wish her well and hope it gets taken care of. : (

Thanks! : D I hope I can get the damn insurance to pay for it. They somehow find a new loophole a few days before the scheduled surgery...it's happened a few times now. : / You'd think that they would be willing to pay for surgery and not dialysis every other day for ever...
