Oh man, you lucked out not getting skunk'd by that skunk! Skunks just being skunks are pretty unpleasant, but once they release that stank its a whole new level of hell. My dog got sprayed while we were house sitting once. I smelled something foul in the air from a block away, but as we got to the house my husband and I both thought chemical spill or natural disaster or just SOMETHING CATASTROPHIC. When we found out the smell was coming off of our beloved son, The Dog, we even thought a person must have been responsible for this horrible deed. Skunk was the last thing on our minds, it was so foul. It took us all night and a lot of science to get the smell past eye-searingly-deadly, and it stuck around on him faintly for nearly a year. Our car even smelled like skunk whenever it got hot out, and we were not even around at the time of the incident. All 'cuz my wee child wanted to befriend a stripey cat.

You don't need expensive tools to make good art but boy is it fun when you actually do get to invest in your work. Can't wait to see what you do!

@Q t e a p o n: That first one IS exactly the one I was talking about!
I expected to come here and whine into the void, and here you are with results.

...and I'm driving myself crazy trying to find it even though it probably does not exist anymore.
It was part journal part oekaki.... you could only draw entries or comments. It had very basic brushes/colors to use. There were a lot of user created challenges like "draw X in the comments" and I can't think of a single unique search term to help me find it. Probably because it existed in my teens and I'm in my mid thirties now and I'M TOO O L D to wallow in nostalgia.

When you pack, don't forget to make a special take-along care package of things you will need to live while unpacking. Think an over-night bag with a few extra days in mind. Keep it with you! Toiletries, snacks, kitchenware enough to make a meal, chargers etc. It can be frustrating trying to live while unpacking without said things handy.
...I'm still unpacking and I moved into my house at the beginning of the year

@Count Trashula: My living space was always lame for celebrating, too. I usually just used myself as the celebration canvas with costumes and generally halloween themed attire. My dreams end up a lot bigger than my results but its the effort that makes it fun for me. Decorate small personal items if you can't do anything bigger. Desk, car, phone, workspace perhaps? Halloween pocket altar to have the holiday spirit in your pocket!

@vengeance: I'm always lurking! Sometimes I forget I'm in mid conversation and like browse stupid BS for 3 hours instead, or just stare into the void. I'm bad at this being social thing. I'll try my best though.
All for you
