Well, because the body keeps the nails at a fairly regular temperature, so unless you stick your hands in the freezer or oven for a few minutes, there really isn't any visible color change.

Ah, back again. How's everyone doing today?

@Unicorn: I actually did a bit of research, as it's been a while since I'd read The Hobbit or seen the original animated movie. And Smaug, as described and illustrated by Tolkien himself, is red. Or described as red-gold. And is also red in the original animated movie. So for authenticity, I would go with that.

@Unicorn: Thermal polish, yeah. I have 3 of them, but 2 of them don't work well/don't have drastic changes. The one goes from dark purple to a teal color though. I would like to get more of those eventually even though my nails seldom get long enough to show them off very well.

@Colin: The only thing that the Goodwill here doesn't have are decent vinyls. I'll have to loot my dad's record collection once I finally get a turntable.

@Unicorn: My app says snow between 5am and 1pm. It's not always 100% accurate, but odds are good that we'll get more snow.

@Unicorn: You'll get it all updated and figured out soon! It just takes time.

@Unicorn: Lol, what can I say? I'm a nail polish addict. There are a ton more that I want and I just started getting into chrome and multichrome powders, too. They look best used with gel polish, but the first time I used a curing lamp, my fingers burned and stung, so I refuse to try again. But I get them to work decently anyway.

@Unicorn: Well, if it's coming from the west, then there's a decent chance that, depending on how north you are, we'll be getting more snow tonight or early tomorrow then. I'll have to check my weather app when I get done at work.

@Unicorn: Ah, that sounds pretty awful. Not being able to sleep well is always annoying.
The thread looks pretty good though.

@Unicorn: I haven't counted recently, but at this point, over 150. And that doesn't include my stamping polishes or the "special effect" polishes that Sinful Colors put out this summer, just my regular nail polishes.
