@Kairu: my mother actually has the samsung tablet and it has pretty much no palm rejection unless you are in a specific ap with a “pen only” mode. I have previously tried out a cheaper ipad and liked it but I like how the pro does better.

My thing is I wanna see if there is like, any small details someone from personal experience can say helped then decide one way or the other.

I will be using my new tablet as my main school device.

@grost: the issue with the instant samsung is that this doesn’t really give me much for details on what makes one technically better than others.

I do a lot of art, want to do handwritten notes, and have the capacity to use this for most of my schooling. Current issue with samsung is palm rejection is.... not where I need it to be. However in clip studio there is a “pen only” mode. This doesn’t discount that fact that when i take notes on the samsung i get random dots all over. :(

@Raxton: that is what makes this such a close call! My bug issue is the palm rejection. I could try and use a hand guard to precent this. But my thing is I want to see if there is a fundamental detail like.... maybe one has an arguably better screen or whatever. XD or someone found some sort of cool function the other lacks. Most baseline reviews do a lot, but I find personal users in the day to day are more likely to discover any settings or anything that maybe a reviewer missed.

I like them both in their own way. I sway to ipad more bc i liked using my old one with apple pencil. I just want to know I am giving each an equal shot.

Okay.... I always come to voltra when crap is going on in life but thankfully this seemed like a gen chat thread (finally) that I can make.

I am split between these 2 things. Apple ipad pro 2020 with pencil or Galaxy tab s7+?

My mother has the s7+ that I tried sketching with in clip studio and tried taking notes but the palm rejection was horribly wonky. Idk if there is an option for a "pen only" setting on the tablet itself or only in drawing apps so I figured, someone on here is Android loyal and can give me the details in a way that my non-tech-lingo-fluent brain can understand.

I mainly have experience with apple products. I haven't had a pro yet, due to previously having some constraints on budget. However, I am looking at getting one. I have seen all the note-taking apps I can utilize for university, and have made many an artwork in procreate. I always liked how it worked but I tried out a cheaper version (Ipad 6th gen I think??) to see if I even liked the apple pencil and whatnot and I did.

To be honest at this point I just wanna see what people think. Which is better for art and notes for university? And/or how did you set one up for your workflow?

There's a lot of studies still being done to show how much CBD and THC benefit people. But it does work miracles for those who truly need that relief. And I'm glad it was an option for you when supposed medical professionals had their heads too far up their rears to listen to their patient.

I am just glad your partner has someone willing to advocate for him when he's not feeling well. I know from experience that can help a LOT.

Keep being amazing lovies! And I hope whatever is happening improves soon.

@LilMissKushy: Thank you! <3 I appreciate it.

@Priestess of Pie: Same... It's added like a sudden wave of anxiety that is making it hard for me to like, keep food down recently. It sucks.

@Totalanimefan: I have been consistently finding that. And this one I was straight up and said I didn't want that to be the case, he assured me it wasn't and almost like 4 months later he's like... Yeah just recently started thinking about it and I realized I'm not that into this and we should befriends. Like, ouch.

And thank you! <3 means a lot.

@LilMissKushy: Going to try. Thank you.

@Totalanimefan: Yeah. Being rebound girl sucks. Wish dating sites required a 1 year hiatus from dating before they let people on.

@vessel: Not really. But I'll be fine eventually.

Me and a guy I have been dating that I actually really like broke up. And it's like shit, now what?

@Totalanimefan: Flowers I can find at a store called bulk barn up here. It's expensive per kilo but like, they are so light that it's hard to get it to a kilo to begin with. xD

@Bonnie: Starbucks is wanting to do their mono of "supporting community one cup at a time." And it's like, one cup of COVID19 at a time. Literally they stopped requiring hand sanitizer to come in because people complained. But that has been the current setting at all "essential services." Work until you're sick, and if you die, LIFE INSURANCE. xD

So many people in my life think I am lying about the physical, mental, and emotional abuse partners there go through, but reddit searches show a lot of partners who have been getting abused, and the company literally teaches SMs and DMs how to gaslight employees into thinking it's their fault and they are just bad workers. It sucks. I have been doing the same, getting coffees and tea from local businesses that I'd rather spend money on. Especially since I have seen how hard they work, and even if employees aren't smiley and talkative, they are equally pleasant and amazing and I don't hesitate to tip.

@Tsundererra: It really does. Right now my mother and one of my friends are working to try and get me an in at a transitional home for foster kids. And with my psych degree in progress it'd be good work experience.

@Totalanimefan: I am guilty of making lavender tea from dried lavender flowers. xD Idk why, but it just... it's the most calming thing. Especially whens studying for finals and midterms.

Honestly amazon is going to be up there until there is a company that rivals them. =\

@Tsundererra: Nah, I like a few of their drinks. But after working there and dealing with them for the last few years, it's bad. I have tried looking at smaller ones that are still open in town. A lot of places get at least 100+ applications right now. =\ I know few people with more qualifications than me who aren't getting call backs as well.

@Totalanimefan: Same. It was the only place in my city with lavender drinks. And the coffe and the lavender butterfly latter (tea) are both beautiful drinks. They keep coming out with really awesome drinks, kinda on the trendier side but always delicious... So happy they've stayed. xD
There are like, 2 SB blends I like, but not enough to pay 20$ a 1lb bag for. And honestly, I just wish more people would pay attention to the crap this company put it's employees through. =\

@Colan: Big coffee always strikes. Do some digging into SB reddit, and you can find how many employee abuse situations SB sweeps under the rug.

@milkshake: It's honestly so frustrating! I have asthsma that is aggravated by dust mites because I am actually allergic to dust mites. And so wearing masks for me gets insanely intense with me unable to breathe but I still do it. People don't understand how lethal it actually is to people and it... It burns my butter.

@Totalanimefan: Most local mom and pop shops up here shut down for the initial quarantine period. My favorite place almost got closed for good because of that but apparently a family member picked it up, renamed it, redecorated but kept all employees and drinks and I frequent as much as I can. The owner is such a nice man, and their lavender lattes are MUCH better quality than any starbucks drink.

Starbucks espresso is honestly not good, and so I support small shops that I can taste a good espresso roast without that burnt flavour to it. It's like a nice nutty, balanced, subtly sweet thing that just.... and like, same price for better coffee (large at this shop is actually cheaper than a venti at SB.)

Random thing that just donned on me when I look back at my employment at Starbucks. It was a good job in an of itself, but SB management is crap, and at the end of the day, it is just another big company taking advantage of employees.

However, this just hit me. It's the most fucked thing I could possibly think of to do to partners the company supposedly "cares" about during a pandemic.

When I quit my job, I did it because the numbers of cases in my town were going up a lot, and as someone with breathing problems, I couldn't risk it. Nor could I risk it for my mother, who is actually at-risk and an essential worker at a group home with kids who are ages 0-12 with their own immuno-compromises.

Starbucks had 2 options. Continue working (without enforcing sanitation that they were supposed to be following at stores because customers were complaining about having to use HAND SANITIZER.) Or get 30 days unpaid leave before having to turn in your resignation.

Now up here, with CERB (The COVID-19 emergency income), if you quit voluntarily, it disqualifies you for CERB *and* Employment insurance.

The sad thing is, if 1 person in a starbucks gets Covid, it's going to be the perfect place to have an outbreak. The CS person who goes from tending to cleaning the cafe and bathrooms, etc. to restocking syrups. The fact that partners are already tripping over one another. People thinking having to wipe things down is stupid and "ignoring" it to make their lives easier...And as people like to point out, we still got a while before a vaccine is out.
@Xanthan: Sounds like what I wish I could experience...

I find that finding people I have things in common with and like, are the people who jump into things head first. Much like me. And for them it fades, but for me being a demi, I like someone then it's really rough for me to just stop. xD While it fades for them I get more curiosities and such. Idk what to do with that.
So, I get curious because dting as an adult these days is honestly draining. As someone who hasn't seen what a healthy relationship looks like growing up, I thought I'd post in here. See what all you guys think on this topic.

Keep in mind, I kinda want to know what the start should look like before people get deep into things. Because my experiences have been... weird.

I figured starting out in dating, it's normal to no instantly jump into monogomy. You're kinda feeling people out, figuring out what you want. And if you're interested in pursuing things with one person, you kinda tell others you're going to start dating that one person. Get to know one another, and you decide where to go from there.

However, I've noticed a lot of my straight relationships (I'm pans.) start out with the guy expressing monogomy as important. And we both forego dating apps and dating right off. But then a month in, the guy gives just enough effort to show he's interested, but contact drops dramatically. They stop talking regularly, and even ghost in the middle of serious conversations, if you can get them into one at all.

so what is normal?

How does one properly date? And how do you know when it's time to keep things in a just-friends kind of zone?
