@Hadsvich: I was really hoping the local cat cafe would be hiring; I'd have jumped on that, even if it's technically another low-paying retail job. At least it would have been in a good environment. But looks like they got all their positions filled when they first opened, and the only opening I've seen since then is for management.
I don't know much about remote jobs; I've spent a lot of time looking for ones that would work for me due to illness, but have yet to actually find anything. Either you're doing little tasks that don't pay squat or count as steady work, or it's a scam, or you need some kind of equipment, skills, and/or education/experience. Good luck, whatever you choose to do.

I used to change my name all the time, have multiple accounts, etc because I could never settle on anything lol. But this one's stuck so far (not that it's stopped me from still making new ones...) It's cool to recognize people from other sites even years later, though. Seems like most people on any given avatar site are on several, if not all of them at some point.

That's so sweet tbh ;v; I have my favorites, but any characters I have that have been around for a few years or more have changed drastically over time--though now that their stories are being finalized, so are their designs. Hopefully they'll stick that way now.

Well heck I'm glad you liked it! I'm just doing quick/scribbly things for this thread, so I don't wanna raise expectations too high lol

OK I HAVE FINALLY RETURNED FROM THE GROCERY STORE TIME TO DRAW
sheesh I went out of my way to see the store I had applied to... I almost don't wanna go to the interview now; I hate it. It's like almost a half-hour drive, tiny, doesn't sell anything I can't get at my local Walmart, overpriced, and they share a parking garage with like 3 other stores where you can only park for 90 minutes at a time or else you get towed. I definitely won't be shopping there, whether I end up working there or not. Yech.

I have a bad track record of trying to open shops and getting swept away in IRL stuff, so let's try something a little more low-key: quick and terrible doodles for free with 0% commitment and no money down GET YOURS TODAY or not.

So if you want something of potentially similar "quality", by all means, post here with your refs. The best way to get my attention is with monsters, aliens, or personable avatars that aren't too cluttered.

I got an email 2 weeks ago inviting me to an open interview. It said to call about rescheduling if you couldn't make it, and I had work at the time, so I called. Turns out they're doing these events every Tuesday. The person who answered never bothered to take my name or anything. So I decided to try for this week instead. Problem is, I haven't had time to adjust from my previous job's schedule. My last day was Saturday, and I get off work after midnight. I tried to stay up all day so I could make it out there in the morning because I couldn't go to sleep early enough to get to bed and get up in time for the event, but that has backfired and I ended up taking a 3 hour nap and now I'm so tired I'm not sure if I'm even good to drive. I'd have to leave in about 20 minutes. Should I try to wake up enough to just go, or wait for the next one and give myself more time to adjust my sleep schedule? I'm kinda afraid of missing my opportunity, but I'm also falling asleep as I type...
