I know that feeling. I'm "taking a break" from work right now to focus on getting my health under control, but now that it's been a few weeks, I dread the thought of having to start up my job search again. The last two times I hunted for jobs, it took forever and I got really depressed. But I had less experience then, so hopefully having a few years behind me now will solve the problem despite having gaps in my work history...
At any rate, good luck! If you have the time, assuming you're not already doing so, try doing some volunteering while you search. It will not only keep you busy doing something you can feel good about, but looks great on a resume.
