i think my city is slowly opening up, like you can eat at restaurants if it's outdoors
but i'm not sure if i'm comfortable going out and doing stuff yet, plus it's too hot!

@0v7: i've used a cane before in the past but rarely do also bc of social anxiety
i did notice people in public treating me differently when i used it
but not necessarily in bad or rude way ... sometimes people would offer to carry things, or let me on transit first, or hold open doors for me ........... which like i can appreciate the intent tho i'm in a similar if not less amt of pain than when i'm not using one lol
job discrimination worry is real tho :-( i hope you can find a workplace that is accessible and inclusive

i will say 1 good thing that has happened is not having to commute (walking + transit) which has been a lot easier on me physically!

that's fun - how come you didn't stay for too long? (i know they can be loud/crowded/overwhelming)
i don't think i've been to a con in over a decade, but my friend and i were supposed to go to one this year back in may! it didn't happen due to covid but hopefully we can still go to one in the future someday ...
