yeah do it!!! it's super low pressure , just treat it like sketching in a sketchbook
i like it cuz there's no planning involved ^^
mm not really, i just have them in a pile in my room lol

some stuff that was helpful for me that hasn't been mentioned yet:
- item museum shows you all the donation items and event items with names and poses
- forum rules which took a while before i came across them lol
- newbie guide which is more like how to use the site
our monthly donation items are called crates

thanks so much for sharing your process!! i love the process videos too ^^ it's so helpful and interesting and it's great that you're recording and sharing them! (sorry i didn't interact w them lol - normally i would like them but wanna keep irl identity separate)
i watched a video on loish's process yesterday and i think it's similar -- sketch, sketch, flat color under, merge + paint on top, etc (sharing the video in case you're interested but no pressure at all to watch it lol. tho it was really interesting to me to see the initial sketch vs. end result!) i think i wanna try a similar process! usually for painting i have a reference photo and just lay down color w/o a sketch, but i can't really get it to work for character art, esp with facial features, so i'm excited to give this approach a try (and it seems like a common recommended standard) :3
i think i've been feeling p inspired lately :-) i did some landscape studies over the weekend and have been wanting to do more painting but don't really have ideas... can i join art fight wo sharing a character? lol

i wish i had a scanner, i've been thinking of getting a printer/scanner to make stuff with

@xanthan: yes i feel that, i know if i lose the routine it's so much harder to get it back!
health first for sure
i just hope i can maintain it for the rest of the year... ! at least for the most part haha
@siron: that's super interesting!! the thinking/memories thing is really fascinating and i wonder what makes it possible for some people but not others :0
lucid dreaming, i was able to train myself to do it once back in high school, but i woke up shortly after and haven't done it since ... i feel like it takes too much effort to try lol but i do try to write my dreams down as soon as possible in general and apparently it helps
i don't get the kind of sleep paralysis when you're awake, but i used to get dreams where it felt like i was awake (and in the same bed/setting) but it would feel really tight/heavy/bad/pressure and it felt physically real - but eventually i would realize it's a dream and have to try to force myself awake
the wiggling is a good idea, if it happens again i hope i'll remember to try it! it seems easier than the training lol - though maybe i'll try again since i have so much time on my hands now ... !

@chiffonorange: haha if you live somewhere that snows every year you have to deal with:
- walking in slush .... not fun lol imagine cold wet socks
- risk slipping on ice - very scary!!
- harder to bike or drive safely
- if you live in suburbs, have to shovel/salt driveway and walkways
- if you drive, have to defrost ur car / clear the snow off windows
and of course it's cold all the while lol
