"Yo." she said with a wave.
"Thought you'd like to know I was home."
Darrel looked over towards Sammy, and then turned the volume on the TV down.
"Oh, hey." he said, getting up and making his way towards her.
"Yeah, that's a relief." he went on.
"Glad to see you appear to be okay." he said further.
"So what did your uncle say?" he asked her.
"Everything cool?"

"But all right, go and sleep." he told her.

Darrel was due to head home thatr night, and it was early enough that he and Samantha could do something if she was game. When he went to check her room though, he received silence to the knock. After trying a few times, he poked his head in ther oom to find that she wasn't in there.
The last time anyone had seen her had been the day before, when she was going to head out for a run.
And that was early yesterday.
"......" Darrel was silent for a moment, before making his way downstairs.
He looked around, before noticing that Lindsay an Casey were in the backyard.
He went outside, himself, and made his way over.
"Excuse me." he said.
"Is Samantha back yet?" he asked.
"She's normally not gone this long, is she?" he asked further.

"Usually, when she does stay out for the night, she'd have returned by now." She added before looking to Lindsay for a moment.
"We were just coming up with a plan for hunting her out, since Ashley can't help - a simple fly over would do wonders - and Ash isn't here either... and he'd be just as useful because of his hunting abilities."
"Hm." Darrel muttered.
"Well, can I help?" he asked.
"How would you help?" Lindsay asked in response.
"Well, I know some of her usual routes that she takes when she goes for runs." Darrel responded.
"I can travel them, and see if I can't find her, or some sorta clue or something." he offered.

"Make sure you have your phone on you." She stated.
"That way if something happened to hers, you can get ahodl of us if need be." She added.

"Do you want me to check in at any time?" he asked.
"Like... regular intervals? A specific time? That sorta thing?" he asked further.

"Someone needs to stay here, in case she returns." he said.

"But we can't risk her returning and needing immediate help, and there being nobody here to see her." he reasoned.

"The ones she takes when she's trying to hide." Casey answered, knowing that Lindsay would know which she meant. They were ones that went more through underbrush, instead of an actual path. she didn't tell anyone about them, aside from her parents who she had been practically forced to tell.
"Because it'd be you or me checking those." She then said. "Darrel doesn't even know of them."

"Darrel, just take the paths that you've been on with her." he then told Darrel.
"Right." Darrel replied.
"I'm going, then." he said.
With that, he started to walk to the woods, purpose and determination in his step.

Sammy was at the bottom of a ravine, not sure how she was able to get out of there. She'd tried climbing up, and it hadn't worked too well. She couldn't mana out, due to something in the area interfering with that, and she still heard the damned wolf that had attacked her in the first place still prowling around up there. Thankfully it wasn't coming down to her, just waiting for her to surface.
"I'm so bored..." She whined quietly as she laid back, pain in her features as she did so. She'd broken her leg pretty nastily, and probably a few of her ribs too. It wasn't fun, at the very least, but at least she was alive.
