"Okay." he replied.
"By the way, Samantha's at her uncle Rene's." he told her.
"She hurt her head, and was bleeding, so she went to see him." he said further.
"She told me to tell you, so... yeah."

"Good to know." She stated before heading out back with Darrel. On the way she grabbed what he'd asked her to grab.

"Well, that DOES make sense." he said.
"Jaden's had my blood before, and he's had the same reaction and such." he told Casey.
"What's so note-worthy here?" he asked her.

"...." Darrel was silent for a moment, before sighing. He then parroted what he said to Casey, to Lindsay.

"Well, that DOES make sense." he said.
"Jaden's had my blood before, and he's had the same reaction and such." he told Casey.
"What's so note-worthy here?" he asked her.
"Because he said that about Sammy's blood." Casey told Lindsay bluntly, plainly,
"I didn't give him your blood. I said it was yours on impulse, because I really don't think he'd like to know it was Sammy's, and I wanted to get a truthful reply." She aded with a shrug.

"So... that would mean..." he went on, trailing off a bit and thinking about it.

"And Sammy considers you a friend. So she wasn't going to stand back and not help a friend in a way she knew she could." She added after a moment before shrugging.
"If you have any issues with it, you need to talk to her when she gets back, not us."

"Where IS she?" he asked, looking around.

"He's probably hiding up under our bed again, though."

"Granted, she's not immune... she's been violently ill before, but that's rare as hell."

"We'll need to have her scanned in the near future." he went on.
"See just how much she DOES take after me." he reasoned further.

"...I think I'll go clean her phone, now." he then told them, which confused Lindsay a bit.

"The cleaning solution should be in the desk in the living room, as well as the cloth." he said.
"Right." Darrel responded, before leaving to go do what he said he would.

"I do wonder how far it goes with SAmmy." She said after a few moments.

She sighed as she got to her feet, Rene had needed to put a couple of small stitches in, but that was it. It was an easy fix, thankfully.
"Thanks, Uncle Rene." She said after a moment. "And thanks for somethin' to kill the growing headache." She added.
"I'll take these when I get home." She'd been given some higher-than-standard painkillers, if only just because her head hurt, a lot already.

"But we should get to the bottom of this and find out ASAP." he went on.

"Take ONE at first. And after 15 minutes, if there's no change, take another. But try not to take more than two."
