"Guess I need to work out more." he said.

"I've never really had anyone to measure physical success against." he told her.
"So this has been a wake-up call."

"Eh. I'm always swimming or running. It's just...a thing." Sammy commented after a few seconds.
"It's something that is just who I am. I'm still young, got a lot to learn, but I know what I know already... and it's probably only gonna get better" She paused a moment.
"I mean... one uncle is a Doctor, another is a hunter, and my aunt is a hunter. Kinda means I have better than the average ten year olds information." She added with a laugh
"....not to mention that Doctor uncle is ALSO a Lantha." Darrel chimed in.

Sammy just laughed.

When she splashed him, he lost his balance for a moment, and faltered in the water, floundering around for a second, before looking at Samantha.

"Well, let's see how well you handle THIS!" he finished, before returning the splash.

Darrel smiled as he and Sammy stepped out of the woods, having gone for a longer morning run than she normally would have taken. Not that it was needed or anything, they just had the time. Darrel looked over at the sun, which was now much higher in the sky, the glowing orb having just started to peek over the horizon when he'd first woken up.
"Love stat holidays." he smirked.
"Thankfully, I actually had something to DO this early." he told her.
"Anyway, I suppose we ought to shower off." he added with a chuckle, as the large black panther known as Kitt started to approach them leisurely.
".....oh-ho." he said.
"A comedian, huh?" he asked with a smirk.
"Well, let's see how well you handle THIS!" he finished, before returning the splash.
-A few days later-
Darrel smiled as he and Sammy stepped out of the woods, having gone for a longer morning run than she normally would have taken. Not that it was needed or anything, they just had the time. "SOMEONE'S happy to see you." he commented.

He then paused, and looked at his stomach for a second.

But before Sammy could mention anything about it, Kitt approached her and started to rub up against her legs, making little happy noises and licking her palms.

"SOMEONE'S happy to see you." he commented.

"She always is. She likes the hgeat from me." She added.
"Anyway, you go have a shower. I'm grabbing a bite to eat, and I'll have a shower after you do."

"See you later." he told her, before heading into the house.
Kitt watched him go, before looking at Sammy again.
She made some grunting noises, before looking around some more. She saw a place where the sun's rays appeared to be the strongest, and made her way over towards it.
She then laid down, and closed her eyes.
"See you later." he told her, before heading into the house.

Sammy just laughed as she made her way to the kitchen. She was silent as she made up a quick sandwich (it wasn't much, but it sated a craving she'd acquired). After she'd eaten what she made, she was making her way to the staircase to head up, when she was stopped by her brother.
"Hey Ev." She said with a wave, not sure what he was going to do next... she never knew what went through his head.
Evan was silent for a moment, and looked over towards his sister.
He was still... almost like a statue... but took a small step back.
She noticed that he seemed to be hunched up a little... and the fur on his tail was a bit frazzled.
And she knew that meant one thing...
He was in a very playful mood... and he'd spotted his 'prey' for the 'hunt'.

When he brother leapt for her, she sidestepped him, getting out of his way at just the right instant, but she quickly learned that she4 had made the wrong choice.
"Whoa!" She exclaimed as she felt her foot slip out from under her, as she'd stepped on one of his cat toys and not had the purchase for her foot.
"Shit!" She exclaimed as she went down, smacking into the table behind her. As she landed, she winced.
". . . . . . fuuuuck, that hurt." She muttered as she brought a hand up to her head, where she'd hit.
When she placed her hand where she'd hit... she noticed it felt... wet.
And when she brought her hand out in front of her... she found blood on it.
Which made Evan stop in his tracks.
"......" he was silent, before looking around in a panicked way... and then bolted.
He was scared, and his natural reaction was to hide somewhere... probably under a bed or couch.

Sammy just sighed as she watched her brother take off. She didn't know what it was to make of the entire thing.
"Goooo figure." she muttered before gettingto her feet. She had to do so carefully, because that was quite an impact, and shehad quite a headache brewing now.
"Damn..." she muttered before sighing as she grabbed her phone off of the table and sat down in one of the chairs. Once she had it, she dialled the number for her uncle, knowing that it was likely that she'd need stiches.
After a few seconds of ringing, the phone was answered.
"Hey." the one on the other side said.
"You got Rene." he said further.
"That you, Sammy?" he asked, having looked at the caller I.D. before answering.
"What can I do for ya?" he asked further.
"Overdid the running thing again?"

"Long story short, my head hit the table." She told him. "And I'm bleeding. Got time for me to stop by for a quick check?" She asked.

"You want me to go there? Or can you make it here?" he then asked.
Just as Rene asked that question, Darrel... who had finished his shower and had dried off and gotten changed... had made his way downstairs to see what all the commotion was about.
However, when he got closer to Sammy, she noticed him freeze up.
Completely and utterly.
"I got time." he told her.
"You want me to go there? Or can you make it here?" he then asked.
Just as Rene asked that question, Darrel... who had finished his shower and had dried off and gotten changed... had made his way downstairs to see what all the commotion was about.
However, when he got closer to Sammy, she noticed him freeze up.

Sammy looked over toward Darrel and waved, before pausing.
"I'll make my way there." She said.
"Home or hospital?" She asked after a couple seconds.
"Because I called your cell... not sure where you are."
