She sighed as she left her home office. She'd just been on the phone with Rene, and had something she needed to say to their guest.

She found him out in the backyard, same place he usually was.

"Hey, Chris!" She called as she approached with a wave.

Chris had been sitting and doing nothing, watching some blooms grow, before glancing over towards the woman when she called to him.

He was silent, before getting up and starting to slowly get closer to her, meeting her somewhere in the middle.

"Yes?" he addressed her.

"What is it?' he inquired.

"Did what I did at the firm return to haunt you...?" he then wondered aloud, nervously.

He did NOT want that to happen.

"Nothing but good has come from that." She continued before crossing her arms. The cross was loose, as she was doing it for comfort.

"But I wanted to properly thank you for helping Ashley." She told him honestly.

"And I wanted to ask you something.... do you like law?"

He was then silent as her question was posed.

"I... huh?" he muttered.

"Do I...?" he started to repeat the question, before pausing and pondering it.

"Well... I suppose so, yes." he answered.

"It's... fascinating. Such depth to it, and it sees to be a good way to keep one's mind in shape." he explained.

"Because... as a thank you for saving someone I care immensely for, I would like to fund your way through school. So far as you maintain good grades and the like." She added.

"That's why we'll take it term by term." She told him simply.

"We can get you enrolled for the next year, but if you run into issues with your grades, your funding is cut." She continued.

"If you finish with straight a's, you don't owe me a dime. Anything below that will determine how much you would need to pay back - flunk out, you owe me all four years worth." She paused a moment.

"We'll figure out details and specifics for it later, but just thought I'd give you a heads up."

"I doubt you even knew that you weren't free with Encrae, before you actually were free." She then said.

"Anyhow, I'll go get a start on the registration papers. You'll have to fill out some of it yourself, but I can at least do some."
