I've had a similar sleep schedule, though I'm typically up by 8. Now I have to go to bed around 10 or 11 on a school night, and be up around 6:30. x-x

@Wildfire: If you say so! There's lots to do here in Jacksonville too, so you don't have to come for just lunch. xD
@Blixie: I keep trying red velvet and I just can't with that one (or any other color velvet). I swear I taste barely any chocolate and like mostly dye or something that makes it hella bland.

@Wildfire: It's called The French Pantry, located in Jacksonville, of course. They pretty much do only lunch, but you can also buy all kinds of baked goods, including whole loaves of bread!

It really is! All of their cakes that I've tried so far are delicious. A bit pricey, but worth it since it's a small business and everything is made from scratch!

I can't stand dry cake either. Even if you have icing, that doesn't mean it'll fix the dryness.
There's this restaurant that's a bit of a drive away that's inspired by French cuisine, and they have this thing called a Brown Butter Cake. One of the BEST cakes I've ever had, and it's topped with fresh berries and comes with strawberry puree sauce! So yummy!

Oof, yeah that'll do it. I've had to become a morning person since my son started preschool this week. It's taking some getting used to lol.

Favorite cakes are just about anything with chocolate, strawberries, and/or coffee in it. Favorite pies are pecan, apple, and chocolate creme.
