@Totalanimefan: I feel you on being beat from the whole process lol. I still have to do the changing of address with everyone, and I hope I don't forget anyone important. xP

Those tips are all great, and I've done most if not all of them this time around. One thing I'm super grateful for is help from my family, whether it's the physical moving part, or help watching my son while we do what we need to. It's super hard getting anything done with an energetic toddler, and I don't envy those who didn't have that kind of help when moving!

Is SO much easier than packing when it comes to moving, in my opinion!

I've still got stuff to pack and clean at our old place, but it seems so much easier to unload at our new place lol.

Let's discuss moving!! Love it? Hate it? Tell me your moving stories!! Share some tips if you want!!

Yuck, I hate that sticky heat! I remember one time my parents' AC stopped working in the middle of summer, and it was torture, even with fans going in every room. Just pushed around more hot air than anything.

You're welcome, and your doodle looks cuuute! *o* I love how you captured the cheeky grin lol.

@CooperationIsKey: Forgot to respond, sorry lol. Yep, moving, but just up the street a little. We need to be out by next Wednesday, and we're making good progress.

Masa, I hope you win some goodies of your boy! And I love looking at your art. <333

I'm not brave enough to open that many crates. xD I think the one time I opened a bunch was when the Krampus came out, and I opened 6 of those because I loved both items and bought the bundle. I'm waiting to see if there's another month with items I love just as much to buy a bundle.

Ooh, Luca is one of the newer movies I wanna see!

That's a lot of crates, Total. xD
@Wildfire: Yes, definitely going to note the uneven flooring, plus a stain we found in a kitchen cabinet. Hoping to finish the inspection today before going to my parents' for dinner. And yes, I'm used to paying all that for a new place.

It IS that thick carpet! Like wow, way to make sure you most likely keep our deposit!! /shakes head Gonna try to keep the cats out of those rooms as much as possible since their hair and litter get everywhere. x-x
@Wildfire: Yep. Actually they were redoing the floors on the day we were supposed to be move-in ready, which I'm hoping isn't a sign of terrible management. LUCKILY we weren't planning on moving in right away, but they did a crappy job because the floors are uneven. It's clean looking, but if you walk on it, you can feel slopes here and there, so that'll go on our inspection report. Probably nothing they can do about it while we're occupying the unit, but hey, temporary inconvenience hopefully.

I wish I could say I might get used to the carpet, but it looks a bit like shag carpet, which imo is the worst type. They probably went with that because it's cheap, but whoever made that decision needs a swift kick in the conscious.

The security deposit is pretty cheap though compared to most places we've looked at (most require the equivalent to rent for a deposit) so I suppose I can't complain.
@Wildfire: Yep, there seems like a ton of stuff to move or get rid of, so gonna take it easy.

And yeah--the only thing I don't like about our new place so far is the carpet in the bedrooms (I don't care for carpet) but hopefully we can keep them clean. The rest of the flooring, paint, and fixtures are brand new though. So there's that.

And thanks! Not sure how long I'll keep this avi since I felt a bit of avi block with this one, but I do love how the eyes layer together lol.
@Wildfire: Thanks, and nice to see you too. :)

I'm feeling lazy and maybe a tad overwhelmed. Slowly moving stuff over to our new place, starting with stuff we probably won't need for a while since we only have to be out of here by the end of the month.
