@Fellowsheep: My boyfriend is REALLY into mountain biking right now, and he's quite a handyman.
I'm sure he would do it for me teach me how to maintain a bike!
I was told the best way to learn is to start with a bike that's actually a size too small, so that your feet can reach the ground.
Then you walk while straddling the bike, and take longer strides over time to understand how the balance on a bike works.

Unrelated question, but I was looking at the event items and knick knacks from your link in the very first post.
I'm not familiar with item rarity, but if I made a formal request for newbie goodies, is there certain stuff
included in the event category that's actually too rare to ask for? I know stuff like Oracle is a hot commodity...
