@Erebus:
@Colan:
I took the time to randomly start an anime on Netflix, just to kill time.
So I watched a movie called A Silent Voice and bawled my eyes out.
I really recommend it but it's a pretty rocky road of sad and uplifting ;-;

@kaichoukai: I will die for you
Posted in Newcomer supply depot Posted 5 years ago

@Erebus: I don't think I've seen that one on Netflix, but I do tend to skip around
genres and only look for one specific thing, usually.
There's one I've been seeing a lot, but I don't know anything about it.
I just looked it up, it's called Cells at Work. Have you heard of it?

@Colan: Thank you! Yeah, I love alien girl. She's not unfriendly, just wants to be left alone.
Gets along really well with stray cats. Makes lamp posts turn off when she walks by.
Plays music really loudly through her headphones next to you on the bus,
but then you see she doesn't have headphones in and you don't know where the sound is coming from.
Very chill.

@Colan: Lemme see what I can scrounge up here. It's been a while since I drew anything.

@Erebus: Oh, that last one does sound similar to Inuyasha, at least the unwilling critter man familiar part.
I am basically paying for Netflix just to watch one show, so if there's any good anime
suggestions that are on there, I'd like to give them a shot this week.

Posted in Newcomer supply depot Posted 5 years ago

@Colan: Oh yeah, I remember Yu Yu Hakusho!
I love any of those old 90s/early 2000s anime.
Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop...
I'd love to try drawing in an anime style again, but now that I actually
am a good artist lmao

@Erebus: I have really picky taste in TV shows in general, but especially
with anime. I don't like a lot of fanservice, or a lot of high school settings,
or really much of anything in a "modern" setting. I guess I like sci-fi and fantasy anime?

Posted in Newcomer supply depot Posted 5 years ago

@Erebus: Yeah, it felt kind of early to me, too. But it worked out perfectly
with the vacation time I had to use up at work.
No big plans, just gonna hang out until the weekend, maybe go
and do some shopping with the extra money I got this past week.

I haven't gotten into any anime in a looong time.
I was big on Naruto in, like, fourth grade. But I think Inuyasha is the only one I
ever got REALLY into, enough that I'll still watch it now.

Posted in Newcomer supply depot Posted 5 years ago

@Erebus: Not bad! It's the first day of my week-long vacation from work and classes,
but I have spent it all sitting on my butt and being on Voltra. I'm just now getting really hungry,
so I'm waiting for my dad to finish grilling chicken so I can pig out.

How are you? :3c

@Totalanimefan: I'm super jumpy, so windows rattling would probably keep me awake >>
Hopefully they're just a slight nuisance to you.

@Priestess of pie: That's another nice reason to have pets. Most spooky noises can be easily explained.
But back when I was living with an old roommate, her siamese would sound like a literal baby and cry
in the hallway right outside my door, and it would make my blood run cold until I realized it was her lmao

@Keo:
1. Your avatar is giving me 2008 flashbacks and I'm living for it
2. Your little title cards on the front page with your kitties are so cute ;-;

Blease, tell me about your cats...what are their names...

Does your house make any noises? Any explained sounds or spooky bumps in the night?

My house isn't very old, but isn't too new either, so it doesn't make very many "settling" sounds.
The floors creak in some places, but they only creak if they're stepped on in a certain way.
But there is a noise that happens downstairs, without much regularity. I don't know what it's from.
I've only ever heard it at night, when I'm alone, and it sounds like something ripping outside. But for way longer than a
ripping sound should last. Like tearing paper, but the noise is drawn out for several minutes.

Being the classic white girl in a horror movie, I always go to investigate it, but I've never found where it comes from.
It doesn't sound like it's inside the house, but if I go outside, the sound always stops.
So I don't believe it's...I dunno, a water heater or something that would regularly make noise.

Does your house make a similar sound to this?
Has any noise in your house ever been explained, or is it still a mystery?

@Autus: Hello and welcome! ♥

That's some serious talent you have in profile making.
If you wanted, you could probably make some very good Volts/Ohms/trades here for people that want a profile makeover :o

I don't drink coffee daily, usually just when I have to be up early.
I think coffee is more of a placebo for me, since I can drink a cup of coffee and then immediately go to sleep.
It's more about rewarding myself with something sweet and creamy for waking up early for work OTL

I'm not much of a soda drinker anymore. I've had three kidney stones, and when I was told dark soda is a big
contributor to them, I pretty much cut them cold turkey. Root beer was my favorite, back when I could have
it, and every once in a while I may sneak a sip from someone else's drink. When I do drink soda, I usually go for a
Sprite/Sierra Mist or ginger ale just to have something bubbly. I'm mainly a water drinker, now
