Azazel looked at Azari, and was silent as he saw how sickly the elf looked.

'Geez...' he thought.

'The hell happened to HIM?' he wondered.

Azari just smiled at them, looking more at Ashley, though.

"...she's gone." he told them.

"She left. Never to return. Ever." he said further.

"What are you saying!?" Azazel demanded.

Azari's smile just grew wider.

"Vanessa Encrae... is dead."

Aly just chuckled and nodded.

"Of course." she replied.

"Let's order in some Chinese!" she agreed, thinking for a moment.

"I'll bring your laptop, and we can find a place and order online." she added.

As Eke flipped through the movies, he saw a wide variety. Action, romance, horror, everything. It seemed they were truly spoiled for choice for this.

".....right." Azazel muttered, as he followed.

They walked down a few halls, but found nothing. It was as though the place had been abandoned... but that was not the case. They DID hear signs of activity, but people were hiding from them.

Not that they cared about the underlings. They were here for the head of it all.

Ashley then stopped in front of a closed door, and opened it.

When she did, she saw Azari sitting in a simple wooden chair... and he did NOT look healthy.

"...welcome." he greeted them when he saw them.

Azazel followed her inside, and looked around.

"....hm." he muttered.

"Wow." he said.

"This place is... well... dead." he commented.

"It's like there's no activity here at all." he went on.

"The hell's going on...?" he wondered aloud.

"......" Azazel was silent as that happened.

"Well. That went easier than expected..." he muttered.

He then tipped his hands slightly, causing the pooled blood to go back into his wound. After that, he used the blade and ran it over his wound, closing it up.

"Handy." Hal commented.

"Yeah. Still stings like a bugger." Azazel responded.

"Anyway, I'm good to go." he told Hal.

"All right." Hal replied, before he snapped fingers on both his hands, one towards Azazel, one towards Ashley. The two of them suddenly, in the blink of an eye, found themselves standing at the entrance to a hidden building... camouflaged very well.

"...guess this is the place." Azazel muttered.

Aly just blushed a little.

"You are a shameless charmer, you are." she said.

"And a home date sounds lovely." she told him.

"What would you like?" she asked.

"We can make something, or be lazy and order in." she said further.

"Also, want to browse what's on the movie channels?" she asked him.

Azazel just sighed quietly.

"One moment." he said.

"I need to tell someone about this." he told them, before summoning a blade in his hand. He then dragged the tip of it across his other palm, and cupped his hands together, allowing his demon blood to pool.

"Boss?" he said into it.

"Miss Raziel? It's Azazel." he said further.

"I need to tell you something."

It was easy to see that Chris wanted to retreat, but he held his ground and looked at the scene.

"He did." Hal replied. "He's remembered exactly where Vanessa is." he told her.

"Once he tells us, you and Agent Az will go and deal with things there." he then explained. "You'll leave immediately after he regales the info, and I will personally send you there." he finished.

"Understood?" he asked.

"Understood." Azazel replied.

Hal then looked at Chris, who proceeded to tell them exactly where Vanessa's base was located.

All the while, those that were there couldn't help but notice that Ashley's presence was far more ominous and oppressive.

For Hal and Chris... it felt like Vanessa herself was there, more than ever before.

Aly just shook his head.

"Eke, Eke, Eke..." she said.

"You really shouldn't be doing that." she told him.

"Let's make up for that, shall we?" she then asked.

"I can make something up right now, or I have a recipe for a meal replacement milkshake." she informed him. "It's handy for just such an occasion."

"The security area." Hal replied.

"You'll be let in as soon as you get there." he told her, before she hung up.

"....." Chris was silent as this happened.

"Maybe... maybe I should go." he said.

"I... I'm not sure she wants to see me right now." he commented.

"Last I remember, she was... not the nicest. Granted, I was insufferable, but... yeah..." he mumbled.

"You'll need to tell her where Vanessa is." Hal said.

"........right." was Chris's reply, his expression nervous.

Aly immediately looked at Eke, before looking at Ryker.

"We appreciate your concern." she said.

"But we'll be fine." she told him.

"You go on... I have something to discuss with Eke." she then finished.

"......right." Ryker responded, before leaving the room to get ready.

"Eke." Aly then said to Eke.

"Are you all right?" she asked, folding her arms under her chest.

Hal nodded.

"I do." he replied.

"Agent Az, stay here." he told Azazel.

Azazel just nodded in response, as Hal called Ashley.

"Ashley, it's Agent Sharp." he said when she answered.

"Come to the Unit immediately." he told her.

"There's been a major break in the search for Vanessa. I'll make sure the security guard lets you in quickly." he added.

"That would truly be the end of it all." Hal agreed.

"But I don't trust someone going alone." he then said.

"I'd prefer if one of my agents went with her." he reasoned.

"All right, but who?" Chris asked.

There was silence for a moment, before they heard a brief knock, and Azazel poked his head in.

"Boss, just letting you know that the shipment arrived for the lab." he said.

"Ah, thank you, Agent Az." Hal responded.

"...everything ok here?" Azazel then asked.

"We're trying to determine who would be safe to go to Vanessa's hideout." Chris responded.

"...why not me?" Azazel asked. "As a demon, I'm practically immune to it."

"...." Hal and Chris were silent, before Chris cleared his throat.

"Maybe... maybe that might not be the best idea." he said.

"Oh?" Hal asked. "And why is that?" he asked further.

"We don't know what Vanessa will have there waiting for whomever goes there." Chris replied.

"As I was told, that wood elf was ready with that device earlier... who knows what else is there? I don't know if I'm comfortable with Miss Terra going there and potentially being hurt even worse." he went on.

"......and who might you suggest?" Hal then inquired.

"Well... Ashley." Chris replied.

"Because... well... if nothing else, it takes a dark elf to kill a dark elf." he reasoned.

"A REAL one. Not... a whatever-I-am..." he added quietly.
