"....well." Chronos said.

"That certainly cleared up a lot, in a short amount of time." he said further.

"All right then." he went on, cracking his knuckles.

"Let's do this." he said further.

"And if you survive this, talk to me later about the fountain." he added.

"Wait!" Hal interjected.

"Hollie, are you SURE about this?" he asked her.

Inside, everyone stopped as the knock on the door was heard.

"Kinda busy in here!" Hal called to whomever was there.

"..." Chronos was silent, before looking at him.

"Actually, you're going to want to answer that. She's quite relevant to this conversation." he said.

"...." Hal was silent in response, before his eyes widened some.

'...how did she...?' he started to think, before shaking his head.

"Someone open the door." he said.

Leo responded with a nod, before doing so.

Jake looked over at the woman, before his tongue quickly darted out of his mouth, and then returned inside it.

"....right." he said.

He then pushed the button, unlocking the door for her.

"You know the way." he told her.

"Dunno what this is all about, but I can tell it's serious." he continued.

"Don't let me hold you back."

"I refuse to ask anyone to undergo such a risk." Hal responded.

"This is something that carried an extremely high risk of death." he continued.

"Even for the regenerator, this could be bad." Chronos then said to Miki. "Depending on the damage it might do, he may come back with severe mental trauma." he explained.

"And we at the Order already know just how fragile his mental state truly is." he reminded her.

"Though Remmington might be just the bait we need." he added.

When he said that, Miki saw a glint of anger in Hal's eyes, at hearing Hollie referred to as 'bait'.

"Mad's a strong word." Ryker replied.

"I'm unimpressed, definitely." he said, as they entered the bedroom that Eke and Aly shared, where Aly was sitting by the window, looking worried.

She looked over and saw them before starting to race towards them, only for Ryker to stop her.

She then sat on the bed, which Ryker walked up to, and set Eke down on it.

"What's done is done." he said.

"You and Aly worry about making sure you're all right." he told them.

"Meanwhile, I need to keep watch, and make sure to spot any problems that might be coming our way."

"You're a smart one." Chronos responded.

"Leonard here will take you into the dream world to deal with the menace." he told her, gesturing to Leo.

"...we'll need someone's dream to 'invade'." Leo chimed in.

"And it's going to have to be someone with very powerful dreams. Someone that can dream of something so vivid and strong, it'll be irresistible to the somnovore." he went on.

"Hm." Chronos mumbled.

"This is true." he admitted.

"We need your voice." the floating figure said, before Hal cleared his throat loudly.

"EXCUSE me." he said.

"I realise this is of the utmost importance, and that time is a factor, but I would also appreciate a modicum of decorum, and some respect for my agents." he told him.

"ESPECIALLY when you are coming to us for assistance." he added.

The figure looked ready to chew Hal's head off right there and then, but sighed.

"...yes... I suppose so." he admitted.

"I'll start by introducing myself." he said.

"I am Chronos. God of Time."

"I need to see you in my office, ASAP." he told her.

"How soon can you get here?" he asked, before the figure looked him over, causing him to sigh.

"Listen..." he said, before giving her the same spiel that he'd given to Miki.

"So... yes, if you're fine with that, you can have a direct passage to my office. You just need to tell me where you are." he explained to her.

"But only if you're comfortable with it."

Hal was silent, and sighed.

"I didn't hear half of that conversation." he said, referring to how he couldn't see the shadow creature, or hear what it said. "But if we need Sierra, I'll call her." he told her.

He then picked up his phone, and dialled her number.

"...it's Agent Sharp. Are you in the Unit, or home?" he asked when the line was picked up.

The figure raised an eyebrow.

"Is that so." he said.

He then looked at her shadow, before it came to life, and moved over to a nearby chair.

"....never thought one of YOUR kind would bind to someone." the figure commented.

"Now... you going to tell me what I want to know? Or do I need to rewind you back to when you're nothing more than a fraction of a shade in what was once your host body?" he asked.

"I'll tell you, I'll tell you!" the shadow creature exclaimed, obviously scared.

This question seemed to anger the figure.

"I know of 5 ways, only 1 will work." he said. "The head of my Order decided to try one of them, and it has resulted in her going missing, and the creature is now angrier." he went on.

"As told to me by THAT one." he continued, gesturing to a male that she hadn't noticed. He looked younger, and was cowering slightly.

"I sense that you might know more about this creature, though." he then said to Miki, eyeing her suspiciously.

That's when she felt her shadow shudder slightly.

Before Hal could answer, she saw a figure floating in the air off to the side, and THEY spoke.

"What's going on is that the Somnovore has now made things personal for me." they said.

"Somnovore...?" Hal muttered.

"SHE drew a picture of it." the figure said, gesturing to Miki.

"How did you know about it? How did you see it?" he asked her in a demanding tone.

There was another pause.

"They have deemed that to be acceptable." Hal informed her.

"Now. They are also willing to let you get ready." he continued.

"Do you need time to get dressed or gather your things?" he asked.

"Or are you ready now?"

"Ah... a half-hour you say?" Hal asked.

That's when she heard the conversation become a little muted and muffled. However, she knew she heard discussion, which turned into a heated discussion, which then seemed to turn into an argument, and then almost a shouting match.

"...this person is EXTREMELY insistent that you get here within the next few minutes." Hal sighed.

"I have explained that you do not have the usage of active mana for teleporting purposes, and they are saying they will teleport you here themselves." he went on.

"However, I do not care who it is, if you are not comfortable with that, then they will wait for you to drive here." he then said, conviction in his tone.
