"....I know." Zeke responded.

"It's... it's a difficult decision." he told her.

"But... but remember, you're not alone." he said.

"You have your friends, you have Agent Sharp, you have Peyton, you have... me..." he went on, biting his bottom lip a little.

"We're still here, and we love you." he assured her.

"We'll do all we can, and then some."

"......" Zeke was silent, before sighing.

"I suppose that shouldn't surprise me." he mumbled.

"All we can do it keep trying." he told her. "We'll get her back." he assured her, though he wondered about that, himself.

"By the way, if you need to stay somewhere, MY Mom's said you're welcome with her and Dad." he then told her, giving her some good news.

"And if you don't want it to disrupt your life or something, she has strong mana that can get you anywhere, anytime." he added with a small smile.

"Just... wanted to let you know that."

Zeke shook his head.

"I'm not a doctor or medic or anything, but you should be fine." he said.

"I even asked before I brought it, and they said that it should be perfectly all right, as long as it's eaten here in the room." he then assured her.

"So go on ahead and chow down." he said further.

"There's also a nice little bread in there to go with it." he added, sitting down in the chair beside her bed.

"So, I heard Peyton paid you a visit." he commented.

"Been a bit since you two saw each other, eh?" he asked, making conversation.

Zeke just chuckled a little.

"Well, it's good that they allow him to be here to see you, even if it's infrequent." he told her.

He then smirked when she asked if he'd brought what she thought he did.

"I don't know, did I?" he asked, feigning ignorance a bit.

"I DO have this paper bag, oddly enough..." he went on, looking at it, and then handing it to her.

"Why not take a look inside?" he suggested.

Zeke had to admit, seeing any smile on Liv's face was reassuring.

"Hey." he said.

"Sorry if I'm interrupting." he continued, stepping inside.

"Just wanted to see how you were doing." he went on.

However, the paper bag he was holding, and Liv's sense of smell, didn't lie. He'd brought her her favourite lunch.

"So how ARE you doing?" he asked.

Zeke had left the area, doing the rounds that he had been assigned to do. When he finished, he notified them that he was taking his lunch break, and would be going offsite to do so.

And, of course, he went to the hospital.

He wanted to see both Angela and Liv, deciding to see Liv first.

He made his way to the room she was in, knocking on the door and sticking his head in.

"Liv?" he said quietly.

Zeke just sighed again.

"Yeah." he said.

"See ya, Mira." he told her, as the two parted ways.

A few minutes after they'd left, Chris just smirked to himself.

"Hm." he muttered.

"The Blade of Azrael..." he mumbled to himself.

"Interesting." he said, chuckling lightly and darkly.

"............in theory." Zeke replied.

"It's guarded by the archangels. It's one of their treasured artefacts, used only a handful of times in the history of the world." he told her.

"But my Dad might be able to sneak it out to me." he told her.

"Or I could get it myself, but that would be more difficult, given what they think of me." he lamented.

"...but it IS possible."

"......." Zeke was silent, and sighed.

"I'd love to do it." he said.

"She's caused so much pain and suffering, she deserves to just... disappear." he growled.

"I feel it in my bones. It'd be SO damn satisfying to do so." he admitted.

"....and him as well. He deserves oblivion, too."

"........there is." Zeke mumbled quietly.

"There is a sword." he told her.

"A sacred blade guarded by the archangels." he went on.

"The Blade of Azrael." he then said after another pause, gnashing his teeth.

"Anyone stabbed by that blade... is removed from existence. Completely. Utterly. Body, mind, spirit, soul, all gone. Erased. Wiped from existence, with only memories left of them."

"He may very well be useful in finding and defeating Vanessa Encrae." Zeke replied.

"Which is pretty much it." he said.

"...I hate it, too." he went on.

"I want to just... obliterate him." he continued. "Completely and utterly remove him from ALL of existence." he snarled further.

This phrasing, unbeknownst to the two of them, caught Chris's attention, even though he'd gone back to laying down and pretending to be bored.

"Well, Encrae herself left him for dead, assuming he would die alone somewhere." Zeke said.

"However... well... she didn't count on one person." he went on.

"Gemini." he said.

"She had him brought here and taken to the medical wing for treatment." he explained further.

"So here he is now."

Zeke just sighed in response.

"His name's Chris." he told her.

"Christopher Jenkins." he said further.

"Seems he was Vanessa Encrae's lapdog, until she kicked him to the curb." he went on.

"He's considered a Class-S dangerous criminal." he continued.

"Seems he's also the result of trying to turn a human into a dark elf." he added.

The one inside continued to stare back at her, almost not wanting to break 'eye contact'.

However, the woman's attention was turned away from him, when she heard footsteps coming her way. She looked over, and saw a familiar face... just not familiar for down here.

"Hey." he greeted her with a sigh.

"How's things going down here?" he asked.
