"Nope." Chronos replied.

"No, we do not know each other." Illias confirmed.

"Listen, science-boy, I'm guessing you need to know about the sand, huh?" Chronos then asked.

"Yes." Illias replied.

"I'll give you the knowledge, but you need to be able to understand it on your own." Chronos warned.

"I understand." Illias said.

"No, you don't." Chronos replied. "But hopefully you WILL." he finished, before extending his spirit-hand inside Illias' head... causing the gorgon to freeze in place, like a statue.

Illias was silent as he turned around.

"Oh?" he asked, freezing when he saw Chronos.

"Yo." Chronos said.

"Ah... ah... ah..." Illias stammered.

"THIS is your scientist?" Chronos asked Syraene.

"Please forgive me." Illias managed to get out.

"You just shocked me, is all."

A few seconds later, the 'line' went silent. But the man himself suddenly appeared before her, though in a spirit-like form.

"Simple. Reverse the corruption." he told her.

"And yes, I know that's easier said than done." he went on.

"It would even take someone like me a considerable amount of time and effort to come up with a solution from scratch." he continued.

"This sort of thing requires more science than mana, to be honest." he told her further.

"But I can offer info to anyone willing to try and science the answer."

"You're not dead." Ryker responded.

"You're trapped." he said.

"Trapped in a place that... well... is in a weird state of existing, but not existing." he muttered.

"Eke... this isn't where you belong." he then told him.

"This dark and awful place? No. No, you shouldn't be here." he went on.

"I mean, you don't want to be here, right?"

"......." there was silence on the other end, before a sigh.

"Was wondering when something like this would happen." he said.

"But all right. What do you want me to do about it?" he asked her.

"Just poof in and fix it?" he asked further.

"Are steps already being taken to try and correct this little snafu?"

"......." Ryker was silent, before making his way forward.

"Uh... hey..." he said.

"Eke?" he addressed him.

"You doin' okay?" he asked.

"Whatcha got there?" he asked further.

At first, it seemed like it wasn't working.

At all.

But, just when she was about to give up, something broke through.

"....yes?" she heard in her mind.

"Can I... help you?"

"Eke, wait!" Ryker called to him, but he was gone.

".....damn it." he cursed quietly, before the door appeared.

"......?" he was silent, definitely confused.

"Welp... just gotta move forward, and hope it helps." he told himself.

With that, he grabbed the knob on the door, and twisted it to open it.

"Good talking to you as well!" Tyson called to her as she left.

He then sighed, and looked ahead absently.

"...things are REALLY messed up now..." he mumbled.

"Worse than ever before, it seems." he went on.

"Wonder if this will finally be the end of it all..."

Tyson nodded in response.

"I'll remember that." he said.

"It was nice meeting you, as well." he told her.

"I'm sure we'll see each other while you stay here." he then went on.

"But I certainly hope that you do not have to be here for long." he added.

"I think it'd be better for everyone if this was ended ASAP."

"It won't stop because it still wants you." Ryker responded.

"It's miserable. And it wants you to be miserable as well." he told him.

"It wants to keep you shackled to it." he continued.

"But you need to break free of it. You need to keep trying. It'll be hard. It'll be seemingly impossible at times. But you need to move forward, away from it." he told Eke further.

"There are people that truly love you. And they're waiting for you to return to them." he smiled.

"Well, that's not a good sign." Tyson sighed.

"Anyway, sorry for disturbing you." he then apologized.

"I always aim to know everyone that works here, or is affiliated with this place." he told her. "...as far as working here internally, that is." he then added.

"Believe it or not, it's one of the ways I keep myself sane."

"....I see." Tyson responded.

"Well... that... makes sense, I suppose." he said.

"Then I really hope it DOES get fixed." he told her.

"...sadly, I can't really help with that, I would imagine." he then lamented with a sigh.

"I can do a lot, I've been through a lot, but I would imagine that this is well beyond my scope of expertise."

"......eh?" Ty muttered.

"All right... good to know, I suppose." he said.

"Wasn't... really thinking of sleeping, anyway..." he then admitted.

"I just feel... really energized and such." he shrugged.

"Like I could go on for days."
