Aly kept up to him, and used quick and deft movements to fly under him for a few seconds, and then beside him, before going under him again, and then back beside him.

"It doesn't matter what you look like." she said to him.

"You're always handsome." she told him further.

She then smiled, and pulled ahead slightly, looking back and air-kissing him.

Illias accepted the mana, and nodded.

"Thank you." he said, looking at the mana.

"This is... beautiful mana." he commented, almost taken with it.

"Anyway, anything else? No... no, not right now, I think." he then said, nodding once again.

"This is already a massive help." he assured her.

"Where are you staying?" he asked. "In case I need any more info, or any potential questions answered." he reasoned.

"From what I was told, she was NOT gentle with him." Illias said.

"I fear he may be dead, or worse." he muttered. "Considering all she said was that she 'dealt with him'..." he went on, before shaking his head.

"Anyway." he mumbled.

"A sample of mana, hm... hm..." he murmured, looking around before getting an idea.

"Ah!" he exclaimed, grabbing something from a cupboard.

"A couple of enchanted Petri dishes, that can hold mana. If you wouldn't mind putting your mana into them both, then I would be greatly appreciative."

"Ah..." Illias muttered.

"Seems Vanessa Encrae was here earlier..." he told her, before telling her what Sharp had informed him on, as well as what he had been given.

"So... yeah..." he mumbled.

"Seems SHE wants this mess cleared up as well."

"........that would be perfect." Illias said.

"I have a sample of the mana from that particular 'asswipe', as you have called them." he told her.

"So if I get a sample of yours, then I'll have another piece of the puzzle." he reasoned.

"That would truly be most helpful." he reiterated, as one of the snakes started to venture closer to Syraene.

"He's a sweetheart. Don't mind him." he assured her.

Illias seemed to be stunned for a moment.

"Really?" he asked.

"If you could actually get ahold of Chronos, and ask him, then that would be wonderful." he told her.

"It would be a major breakthrough." he reasoned.

"But, I'll take into account you saying it's not guaranteed." he then quickly added.

"........" Illias was silent as he heard that.

"I... ah, I see." he managed to say.

"That's... hm." he mumbled.

"That complicates things." he said.

"Maybe the answer lies within the mana sample I have..." he then said further.

"If I can reverse engineer the opposite, maybe THAT can help..."

"Well, this sand is unlike anything I've ever seen before." Illias responded.

"Which is to say, its composition is completely different than any sand I've encountered before." he clarified.

"Can you tell me what's in it?" he asked.

"If I know that, I may be able to make a more specialized and targeted purifying for it." he reasoned.

The man was silent in response, and stayed like that for a few more seconds, before sighing and moving away from the microscope.

As he did, a few snakes emerged from his hair, and seemed to be staring at Syraene.

"Well, that was a bust." he said.

"I wanted to see how the sand would react to a potent purifying agent, but it barely even did anything." he commented, before looking at her.

"Hello there." he greeted her.

"I'm Illias." he introduced himself.

"I'm examining its properties." the man responded.

"Or, rather, how it's reacting to the chemical over there." he said, gesturing to a bottle near her.

"It's fascinating." he continued.

"And yeah, I'll bet it's even rarer to find as you are." he went on.

"You smell of this sand." he continued, before pausing.

"Well... kind of. This sand smells dirtier than you." he quickly clarified.

The one that was working on what they were doing didn't look at her, but waved slightly.

"Hello, hello." he greeted her.

"Sorry I'm not looking at you, but I need to keep my gaze on this for at least another 10 straight seconds." he explained.

"It's not meant to be rude." he assured her.

"Also, rare to see a dark elf these days." he then added, somehow knowing what she was, despite not having looked at her.

When she tried the door, she found that it was, indeed, locked. She also noticed a pad where one would swipe their ID card to enter, and noticed a sign that said "Level 3 Clearance was required to enter (Blue card)". When she checked her own ID, she saw that was, in fact, blue. Seemed that Sharp had given her a special permissions pass, as he, no doubt, felt that she would be of great assistance in the lab.

When she swiped the card, there was a little beep, and then a click. She tried the door once again, and discovered that it was open this time, and that she was free to enter.

So she did.

Even though it was dark, she could see various lights emanating from various rooms and from behind closed doors, but there seemed to be one room that had an open door, with light pouring out from it.

She also heard some clinking and scuffling from within, alongside someone mumbling to themselves, but she couldn't hear exactly what.

Aly watched him take off into the air, and smirked.

"I warn you, I'm pretty fast!" she called to him.

She then stretched out her wings and rapidly ascended into the air, catching up with Eke.

"Where to?" she asked.

"Lay out the course for me, my fiancee." she added with a chuckle.

Azazel nodded.

"All right, thank you." he said.

"I'll be on my way, but once again, thank you." he told her.

"I'm going to check on Aedan again, see if she's calmed down." he then said further.

"See you around." he finished.

With that, he made his way down the corridor, waving to her as he went.

Syraene couldn't help but smile a little at the encounter. Azazel had the mannerisms of a very polite... well... anything, let alone a demon.
