Pin cried out as he felt himself stuck by the vines.

He then looked at the bud, and narrowed his eyes.

"You little..." he growled.

"You have no idea who you're messing with." he told her, but found his words meant nothing. He couldn't move, and couldn't use his mana.

"...what is that?" he asked her.

Pin just laughed a little when he heard that.

"The Triad is still a mess of red tape and bureaucracy." he said with a smirk.

"Regardless, I had intended to take you down with that attack, but HE got in the way." he went on, jabbing his thumb at the lantha on the floor.

"Oh well. Triad can take HIM instead of me." he shrugged.

"Let him take the fall. He's a big deal as well, so it should be a big enough carrot for them to catch and nibble on." he reasoned, as they heard numerous footsteps rushing towards the room they were in.

"Guess it's time for ME to take my leave." he finished, as wind started to swirl around him.

Pin just smirked.

"Excellent." he said.

-A few months later-

The complex was in chaos. Aila's cousin had come to the building for business with Pin again, but today was the day that had been set by the Triad.

All of the underlings had been taken down, all of the 'clients' had been taken in, and now Aila was looking right at the Pin, while her cousin was laying on the floor between them, having thrown himself in a flurry of sharp wind 'blades' that Pin had thrown at her.

"...good riddance, damn fish." Pin growled, before looking at Aila.

"And YOU." he growled. "You traitorous freak." he snarled.

"No matter. I can start again. I've done it before. I'll disappear and show up elsewhere."

"It's for the better, actually." Pin replied.

"I'd like to take you in." he told her.

"You seem to make a quality product. Better than any I've ever seen." he said.

"So I'd like you to work for me. Be my own personal producer." he told her further.

"How about it?" he asked.

Pin was silent, before snapping his fingers. When he did so, someone was ushed in. Someone that... really didn't look to be in good shape, and that was massively understating it.

"Eat one." Pin ordered.

The figure nodded and did so... and immediately looked like he was on cloud nine. He sunk to the floor, seeming to be in pure euphoria, and dead to his surroundings.

"...remarkable." Pin commented.

"Absolutely remarkable." he repeated, grabbing one of the mints.

"So... Star tells me you're a draydin?" he then asked.

Pin raised an eyebrow when he heard that.

"Oh?" he asked.

He then took out a sheet of paper and placed it on his desk.

"Make that." he told her.

"I have someone to test it, yes, but make it first." he said.

"Let's see what you can do."

The lantha just rolled his eyes.

"Guess the Pin didn't buy her a piece of jewellery she wanted." he muttered.

He then knocked on the door, assertively and loudly.

When he did, the doors were opened, presumably by a pair of guards, and the two of them stepped inside, the doors closing behind them. Ahead they saw a large desk, with a large chair behind it, with a well-built man with caucasian skin and a black ponytail sitting in said chair.

"Doc." he greeted the lantha.

"Pin." the lantha replied.

"This had better be good." Pin then commented. "Star is already in a bad mood, so things are NOT going well today." he said further.

"You're up." Aila's cousin told her.

"Mm." the lantha muttered.

"Indeed." he said.

The two of them then exited the building, and the male looked around.

"Right." he said.

"We're walking left." he told her.

"If you see a woman with tanned skin, long blonde hair, wearing noticeable red, let me know." he then told her further.

"That'll be Star." he said.

"Oh, and she'll be wearing star-shaped earrings." he then added.

When she grabbed his hand, a water bubble formed around them, and she could see the water surrounding her almost turn into a swirling whirlpool for close to 5 seconds...

...before it disappeared, and she found herself in what seemed to be an abandoned room in desperate need of repairs and TLC.

"Condemned residential place." the lantha told her.

"Not even homeless and vagrants come here because it looks ready to collapse, but it's still structurally solid." he assured her.

"Come on." he then said.

"We got a little bit of walking to do." he told her as he started to exit the room.

"Mm, fair enough." the lantha replied.

He then extended his hand.

"Grab on." he said.

"I'm teleporting us there." he told her.

"I know a place where we can safely land, and it'll be close to where we need to go." he went on.

"And the main part, we won't be able to be followed." he then said further.

The night passed without incident, and she awoke the next morning with no problems. She woke with more than enough time to eat breakfast, clean herself and get dressed, with still plenty of time to spare, in terms of meeting with her newly discovered cousin.

Making sure she was prepared and ready, she headed out of the hotel and made her way behind it, checking her watch and seeing she had a few minutes before the meeting time.

Sure enough, a couple of minutes later, the lantha showed up.

"Hello again." he greeted her.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

"Right." the lantha replied.

"Then meet me behind this hotel at 11:00 sharp." he told her.

"I'll take you to SD, and then the Pin." he said.

"In the meantime, I will take these." he went on, making his way to the desk and gathering what was on it.

"Sleep well." he said.

"And hope the meeting tomorrow goes smoothly."

"Morning." the lantha replied.

"It will essentially be a 'business lunch' meeting." he told her.

"Mostly because you'll be recommended through Star, which is through me." he continued.

"Pin and I... well... we may not see eye-to-eye, but we have a... mutual tolerance and borderline 'understanding' between us." he explained.

"Regardless, how long are you in this city for?" he asked.

"And are you in this hotel for the duration?"

"....must be that time of month." he mumbled after he had hung up.

"Anyhoo." he said, looking at Aila.

"Tomorrow." he told her.

"It's gonna be at 11:30, and you're coming with me to the meeting place." he said.

"That's the only way you'll be getting to see the 'pin so quickly." he went on.

"That work?" he asked.
