He shook his head.

"That's sweet, and any other would have accepted that, but... not me." he told her.

"I pay what it's worth... while still allowing a little bit of profit for me." he smirked.

"I can tell it's quality. I can just tell." he went on.

He then dug into his pocket and took out an envelope. He opened it, rifled through it, and then took out a small bundle of bills, tossing it towards Aila.

"Here." he said.

"The 2."

The lantha was silent as Aila said what she did.

"Hm." he muttered.

"I see." he said, before going back to looking the stuff over.

"Mmhmm... mmhmm." he finished.

"Right, how's 2G for the lot sound?" he asked her.

The figure narrowed his eyes a little as he looked over the stuff again.

"Well, hell of a way to start building rep." he commented.

"Excuse me a moment." he said, grabbing the bag and taking it to a nearby desk. He emptied the contents, and Aila saw him doing various things to various samples of the various products.

"Mmhmm... mmhmm... mmhmm..." he mumbled.

"Yep. Top-notch." he said, before looking over towards her.

"By the way, have we met before?" he asked.

"You seem somehow... familiar..."

"........" the man was silent as the mana was used, before sighing.

"Right." he said.

He then approached the backpack and opened it, peering inside.

Once he did, he let out a low whistle.

"Well, now..." he said.

"Hardly ever see stuff like THIS being used, or being given to me." he chuckled. "This is some high-quality stuff." he commented further.

"And you're sure about this deal?" he asked her.

The figure thought for a moment about her suggestion.

"Hmmm." he muttered.

"A hotel room?" he asked.

"That WOULD be a lot more secure." he admitted, before poking his head out the window, and listening. After a moment, he cursed slightly.

"Hotel room, it is." he told her, bringing his head back in.

"I hear voices and footsteps. And they're coming in this general direction." he told her.

"......" the figure was silent for a moment, as the female before him struck some chord of familiarity within him.

But he shook his head and cleared his throat to get himself back to reality.

"Great." he said.

"So they're around." he muttered.

"Did someone tip them off?" he wondered aloud.

"Gonna have to erase some people if they were."

"Guilty as charged." the figure admitted.

"And where? You want to step into here?" he asked.

"Or if you know a more secure place, enlighten me." he told her.

"Because nobody knows we're here. We do have privacy, but you can still be seen from the streets." he continued.

"So feel free to hop through the window." he finished, stepping away from said window.

"Had to move." the person told her.

"Too many people sniffin' around in the usual hangout." they said further.

"Regardless, yes. I'm the Doc." they confirmed.

"You're here to make the dropoff, so let's make sure we do this uninterrupted." they went on, before they extended a hand out towards the spraypainted words.

As soon as they did, water seemed to form over the words, and washed them off the wall, causing the paint to drain away into the sewer grate off to the side.

Just as she walked past an alley, she turned casually to look down it, but paused when she saw something. On the wall at the end of the dead-end alley were some spraypainted words.

The Doctor is IN it read, with the first three words in black, and the last one in green... and it looked like it'd been painted over a few times.

That was something she remembered hearing about the one she was supposed to meet, and turned down the alley.

As she walked, she passed some broken windows that led to the interior of the condemned buildings, but she stopped when she heard a voice speak from behind one of them.

"...you Aila?" it asked.

Testing the die roll here.

Jaden just nodded.

"You do that." he told her.

"I'll be here." he said.

".....hey..." he then muttered as she started to leave.

"Listen... um..." he mumbled, scratching his head a little.

"Feel free to come by... like, anytime."

Jaden just looked away from Sydney.

"...I'd like to forget that ever happened." he said.

"I was a disgrace." he commented.

"A thug. A murderer. A monster." he mumbled.

"I disgraced you, your name, what you tried to teach me..." he went on.

"........." he then just went silent, and continued to stare off to the side.
