Jaden just sighed.

"I know." he replied.

He then reached up, and tried to pull the kitten off... but found the claws had been dug in.

"....Desiree?" he said.

"Little help, please?" he asked.

"REALLY don't want to tear my hat, or hurt him." he reasoned.

"I haven't spread the word yet." Jaden replied.

"And I have no intention of doing so." he assured her.

"So... thanks." he said further.

"My hair is my secret shame as far as my public image is concerned." he admitted.

"But I love how it looks when in private." he continued.

"And I couldn't have it, if not for my portal mana." he added.

Jaden seemed to be honestly frightened right now.

"Ah... I..." he stammered.

"I... uh... that is... I mean..." he stuttered further, before sighing.

"Please don't tell anyone?" he pleaded quietly.

"I would lose all my cred with my goth and emo audience." he told her.

"I may not like them, but they're kinda my bread and butter, as far as my show is concerned."

Jaden paused for a moment.

And his eyes widened.

"Wh... wh-what?" he asked.

"Wait, what?" he asked again.

"My room? You... you saw me... sleeping!?" he exclaimed.

"I... I... I..." he then stammered, clearly flustered.

"What... what... did you... see?" he asked.

Jaden paused and raised an eyebrow.

"Eh?" he muttered.

"You do?" he asked.

"What do you mean?" he asked her.

"I don't... recall him doing this much." he admitted.

"Maybe once or twice?"

Jaden just smirked.

"What can I say?" he asked. "Hair needs to be cared for." he told her.

"And yeah, my bangs ARE long." he admitted.

"And if you ever wanna use the hot tub again, just gimme a call." he then said.

"It's free for you to use, constantly at your disposal."

"I'd stay and help, but I really should get things done." Jaden lamented.

"At least unpacking won't be too hard." he told her.

"And you got all the larger things in place, so you don't need to move THEM around." he reasoned.

He then sighed, and looked up at the cat.

"He REALLY likes my hair, doesn't he?" he asked rhetorically.

"Heaven's Doorway?" Jaden asked.

"Oh, damn. Fancy." he whistled.

"Should be really nice for you." he told her.

"And I don't WANT to clear out to go be an adult." he then said.

"I HAVE to." he grumbled.

"I've been putting things off for too long as is." he added, as the kitten started to bat at his long bangs.

"Well, I was willing to help with price." Jaden told her.

"Still am." he said.

"Just remember that." he said further.

"Anyway, if I recall correctly, you're going to be entertaining Rene and Kalin here tonight?" he then asked.

"...or is that tomorrow night...?" he wondered.

"I can't remember now." he admitted.

"At any rate, I should probably finish my coffee and head out." he lamented with a sigh.

"The curse of being a somewhat-mature and busy adult with responsibilities." he finished.

Jaden just sighed, and then laughed a little.

"Ahh right, forgot you finally named him." he admitted.

"Well, regardless... yeah, I get the feeling I'll miss the little furball, too." he went on, reaching up and petting the kitten.

"But... glad you found a place." he told her.

"Decent neighbourhood, too." he went on.

"Quiet and calm."

"Very smart." Jaden replied.

"....she's very scary at times." he said.

"I know." he said further.

"But yeah, seems she-" he started to say again, before the cat jumped from where it was, and landed on Jaden's head.

"Ah!" Jaden exclaimed.

"....agile little thing..." he mumbled.

Jaden just smiled and sniffed the coffee.

"Ah-yup." he said.

"That smells like one of her fave blends." he said further, before taking a sip.

"Yup. One of the better ones, too." he confirmed.

"So..." he then muttered.

"Seems Mom really likes you." he commented.

"And I'm a call away." Jaden reminded her.

"Seriously. Day or night, doesn't matter." he said.

"If you feel you need me, or need to talk to me, or someone in general, then feel free." he went on.

"I'll pick up no matter what." he assured her.

"Well.... unless I'm doing a show." he then muttered.

"Don';t have my phone on stage with me." he chuckled.

Jaden nodded.

"I'll keep that in mind if I need a place to crash." he said.

"And yeah... it'll be odd to be without each other's company..." he then admitted.

"But hey, at least you really aren't alone." he told her, as the kitten mewed from atop a cabinet that was nearby.

"Case in point." he said with a light chuckle.
