"Ran out to the store." Jaden responded.

When Desiree got to the kitchen, she saw WHY he'd gone to the store.

She saw a litter box, some little, proper water and food bowls, some kitten food (both wet and dry), and a few cat toys as well.

He looked over towards her, and smiled.

"Figured the little thing might as well have proper facilities, food, and such." he reasoned.

"He seems to like you as well." he added, as the kitten nuzzled Desiree's chin.

"....." Jaden was silent for a moment, and then smiled softly.

He nodded, and thought about something for a moment, before stepping away from the door and making his way back to the kitchen.

Desiree then felt his mana in the suite, but it dissipated quickly.

However, about 4 minutes later, she felt it once more, and then heard some shuffling and moving about in the kitchen.

All the while, the kitten mowed down on the fish, and continued to purr like a motor.

Jaden just blinked a couple of times, and then shook his head.

"Uhhhh.... what." he mumbled.

It then registered that she had made her way back to his room, and he nodded.

"Right." he said.

"I need to see what's going on." he muttered.

He then made his way down the hall, to check up on the two of them.

Jaden shook his head.

"Nope." he replied.

"I highly doubt it." he told her.

"Actually, I was actively considering taking the little feline somewhere where he'd be properly taken care of." he admitted to her, before seeing her little smirk.

"....buuuut..." he then said, trailing off some.

"That could be HERE, actually." he told her, as he brought the kitten closer towards her.

"Something... that... is..." Jaden said through straining, before sighing.

"Ugh." he grunted.

She then heard some light mewling, before Jaden pulled a small silver-furred cat... probably no older than 8 months old.

"It's a cat that... well... he keeps making his way to my apartment." he told her.

"I think he doesn't like it where he is... I don't think his owner feeds him enough." he sighed, as he got down and brushed off the rather skinny feline.

Jaden continued to look around some, before sighing.

"It's... well... it's hard to explain." he told her.

He then made his way to his kitchen, and looked up at the vent that would let the steam and smoke out.

"......" he was silent, before climbing onto the counter, taking off the cover, and poking his head up in it.

"Come heeere.... come oooon.... cooooome on..." he said in a bit of a melodic tone.

"If you're not comfortable in the room, then you can always take the couch." he said.

"Whatever makes you-" he continued, before pausing.

He then started to look around, and then sighed.

"AGAIN?" he asked.

".....hm." he mumbled.

"Can you excuse me for a second?" he asked her.

"I see." Jaden replied.

"Well, you're free to stay here as long as you need." he told her.

"Anyway..." he then said with a yawn, exposing his fangs to her for a moment.

"Think you can go back to bed?" he asked.

"Or at the very least, get comfy on the couch?"

Jaden just sighed deeply.

"I figured that breathing of yours portended to something deeper." he commented.

":So did he do anything for that?" he asked.

"Or... are you going to need to see him later?" he asked further.

"Or is this a 'ride it out' scenario?"

Jaden, meanwhile, had been in his room the entire time, and had heard Desiree bit Rene farewell.

He then got up and made his way over towards her. However, he waited until she turned around and saw him from a good distance, before waving and making his way towards her.

"Hey." he said.

"So...." he muttered, trailing off some.

"What did the doc have to say?" he asked her.

".....yeah." Rene replied.

"I dunno, haven't been sleeping well the past few nights." he told her.

"Been feeling restless, so I've been swimming more and more." he shrugged.

"Regardless, see you later, Desiree." he continued.

"Bye, now." he finished, before heading out the door.

"Right." Rene responded.

"Well, have a good night." he told her.

"...rest of the night..." he then corrected himself.

"And... as good as it can get..." he corrected himself further.

"Oh, you know what I mean." he said.

"I'm going to head out through the door, seeing as this place gets squirrely when people mana in willy-nilly." he then informed her.

"If you could lock the door when I go, that'd be great."

"Thank you for being so patient, as always." Rene responded.

"Now, enjoy the tea." he told her.

"I should get back to Kalin." he said.

"She'll want to know the extent of the damage done to you." he went on.

"And the only way I'll tell her is if you say I can." he continued.

"On that note, is she allowed to know?" he then asked.

"Well, it's understandable." Rene replied.

"Not a huge amount of people have exhibited this sort of caring for you." he said.

"But... you can't let that cause you to be suspicious all the time." he went on.

"....but you know that, already..." he sighed.

"Anyway." he then said.

"Anything else while I'm here?" he asked.
