We are BACK, BABY!

Rene just chuckled when he heard that.

"Heh. Good attitude." he said.

"Yeah, this hospital is... well, it's special." he told her.

"Hence why you can be out of here in as little as 4 days." he went on.

"Otherwise... yeah, you'd have been here for over a month, easily." he added.

"And we're taking care of your flight as we speak." he then said.

"I'll make sure, personally, that you have a flight home if need be."

Rene just growled lowly when he heard that.

"Hrmph." he snorted.

"Because humans are xenophobic tiny-brained dry-skinned-" he snarled, before pausing and catching himself.

"Er... present company excluded." he said.

"And... well... others I know... and... oh, whatever." he sighed.

"If people knew what I was, they'd want my head on a pike." he went on.

"It's why I'm disguised to look human. For the most part."

"........." Rene was silent as he heard that, and saw her smirk.

".....hm-hm." he mumbled.

"Perhaps I do." he said.

"You know quite a bit of the world, huh?" he then asked her.

"But you say you've met another that used that phrase?" he asked further, his tone a bit more hopeful now.

'.....one person....?' Rene thought.

'Crap... hm....' he muttered mentally.

'Truth without details.' he then told himself.

"Something my parents always said." he told her.

"Not quite sure where THEY picked it up." he went on.

"Just... you know... stuck with me." he added, taking a small breath and letting it out slowly.

"I wouldn't know." Rene replied.

"But he managed." he said.

"Hell, he was even homeless at the time." he went on.

"But by Neptune's beard, he struggled on and survived." he added, before pausing.

And looking at her.

'Crap...' he cursed mentally.

'Slip of the tongue...' he rued, realizing he'd let slip a Lanthan phrase.

"We figured as much." Rene responded.

"I have a close friend that knows how you feel." he told her.

"He's... well, he's practically my cousin-in-law." he went on.

"He and my cousin are pretty much married, just haven't officially tied that knot." he said with a small shrug.

"He wasn't born blind, either." he then continued.

"Lost his sight in a horrific lab accident long ago."

Rene smiled and nodded.

"It is." he said.

"It was the freshest the cafeteria had." he told her.

"I do hope that's all right." he went on.

"I realize that Hawaiin is a very... polarizing choice." he continued, as he stepped closer.

"By the way... I have a question, and forgive me for being so blunt." he then said further.

"Are you unable to see?" he asked her.

"You're very welcome." Vincent replied.

"It's the least I can do." he said.

"Well, Lynne, I shall see you tomorrow." he told her.

"You rest up, and have a pleasant time here." he continued.

"As much as possible, at any rate." he then added.

With that, they said their goodbyes, and Vincent left... just as she smelled the aroma of pizza in the room.

"Good timing, it seems." Rene chuckled.
Posted in Seeing is Believing (Colin and Lunakiri) Posted 7 years ago
Vincent just chuckled softly... warmly.

"I'm sure." he said.

"As you said, you're a visitor here." he told her.

"You should have a friend while stuck in the hospital." he reasoned.

"It's no picnic to be alone, after all." he added.

"But yes, at any rate, odds are I should go." he went on.

"Let you eat in peace, and get your rest." he continued.

"Even though you just woke up, you'll probably be... dopey and spacey... let's say, for a little while longer." he finished.
Posted in Seeing is Believing (Colin and Lunakiri) Posted 7 years ago
"Yes, that IS a plus." Vincent agreed.

"At any rate, I am to understand that Rene will be bringing you some food." he said.

"If you don't mind, I'll visit you every day to keep you company." he offered.

"I have a lot of free time." he went on with a light chuckle.

"It'll be nothing for me to check up on you and such." he assured her.

"But that's only if it's all right with you."
Posted in Seeing is Believing (Colin and Lunakiri) Posted 7 years ago
"Oh. Well, all right then." Vincent replied.

"All that's left is for you to recover." he said.

"Seems your vacation's been extended some." he then chuckled.

"Regardless, I'm glad you're all right." he went on.

"And I'm glad things didn't turn out worse."
Posted in Seeing is Believing (Colin and Lunakiri) Posted 7 years ago
"Well, that will have to wait." Vincent said.

"You'll be here for a few days, at least." he told her.

"So... I suppose all there is to say, is get comfortable." he went on.

"Oh, and what about your luggage and belongings?" he asked.

"We can go and sort that out while you're here." he continued.

"Where were you staying? Specifically, that is. Where in the city?"
