Ilias looked crestfallen now.

"I... I..." he stammered.

"I see." he said.

"Well, thank you for telling me." he told her.

"I just hope she's all right." he then said further.

"And I hope you'll be okay, too."

Ilias looked horrified when he heard that.

"Oh, no..." he mumbled.

"How do we get this to change back?" he asked her.

"You and your friend did this, so you must know what it was that caused this." he reasoned.

"Right?" he asked.

"You can reverse it, right?"

"N... not really." Ilias said.

"I just wanted to talk to you." he told her.

"See who you were... are... whatever." he went on with a sigh.

"My heart's telling me that you're Kiah, but... a different one. One that, well, as you've said, goes by 'K'..." he went on.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Do you know how you're here?" he asked her.

Ilias debated with the guard for a few minutes, before they relented, and the door was opened.

He stepped inside as the door was closed again, and looked at K.

"Um..." he stammered.

"Kiah?" he addressed her.

"Or... well... however you want to be addressed as?" he said further.

"I just... I mean..." he then stammered, but seemed unable to really pull together a coherent sentence.

Hal narrowed his eyes when she said all that.

He then turned and made his way to the door, opening it.

"Your attitude is rotten." he said.

"But what you say will be thoroughly considered." he finished, shutting the door behind him and leaving her alone once more.

However, she wasn't left alone for long, before she knew someone was looking at her through the window of the door. It was Ilias, and she saw him talking to the guard stationed there, asking to be let in so he could talk to her.

Hal just crossed his arms over his chest.

"So is that all we're getting from you?" he asked.

"Insults, attitude, and some vague warning that a pacifist and overall humanitarian is going to cause something nebulously bad at some point in some degree in the future of an unknown time from now." he said.

"Wonderful." he told her.

"Oh yes, I'll be sure to bring your cousin to you, now that you've demeaned us all." he went on.

"Is there anything else we lowly mental midget peons can do to serve you, our hero?" he asked her, his snark matching hers.

"...from what?" Hal asked.

"Why is Lindsay such a threat?" he asked her.

"He wouldn't hurt a fly. He's a pacifist to an almost-extreme level." he continued.

"Who ARE you, and where are you from?" he then asked.

"What is going ON here?"

"...." Nate was silent again for a moment, before nodding.

"Right..." he said.

"I'll get Agent Sharp down here to speak with you." he told her. "And I'll be back tomorrow to check up on you and see how you're doing." he added.

With that, the visit was ended and he left... but she wasn't alone for long. About 5 minutes later, the door was opened, and Sharp stepped in, looking... less-than-impressed, as was expected.

"Nathan has told me some things." he said to her.

"So you're NOT the Kiah that we know and love." he commented, approaching her.

"Eh?" Nate muttered.

"Oh!" he said.

"It's May 16th." he told her. He then paused again, realising further info was needed.

"2387." he added, giving her the year.

"1:07 in the afternoon, if you need even MORE specifics." he then said further.

"Anyway, the worst of it is your nose, and that'll heal in due time." he informed her. "Everything else is superficial."

"...ah." Nate mumbled.

"Well, I... I have to tell Agent Sharp about this." he told her.

"He'll come to see you, and you can tell him this." he said further.

"Mostly because... uh... well, it's standard protocol, and I don't want him angry at me." he sighed.

"If you like, I can get him down here post-haste."

Again, Nate paused for a moment, pondering what she said.

"...I shall consider it." he told her.

"It WOULD be a handy skill to have." he admitted.

"And... the future, huh?" he asked. "Fix where you're from..." he went on.

"Sounds like there's a hell of a story there." he commented.

"...and not a nice one, either." he added, as he continued to check her for other injuries, dressing and cleaning what he needed, and making sure she wasn't too severely injured.

Nate shuddered a little when K said what she did.

"...I see." he said, as he continued to work on her.

"Well, please refrain from forcing anything out of me right now." he told her.

"I have work to do, patients to tend to, and reports to file." he said, almost a little blasé.

"...are you not bothered by what she said?" one of the assistants asked.

"Oh, I am, but if I let threats of bodily harm get to me, I wouldn't have chosen this line of work." Nate responded. "Patients have said horrendous things to me when I give them news they don't like."

"Indeed." Nate responded.

"I can see her life aura is... well... different, and can take that to mean that her soul is..." he continued, before pausing.

"Wait..." he said.

"Hold on." he muttered.

"Later I learn to read mana?" he asked her. "How... could you know that?"

Nate was silent as he approached her.

"K, huh?" he asked.

"Might explain a lot." he said.

"I can see that you're Kiah, buy you're also not Kiah." he told her, as one of the assistants handed him something.

"What do you mean?" they asked.

"Her soul is quite... discordant, one can say." Nate commented.
