Anyone else collect dolls?
Fashion dolls are my favorite, but I also collect Asian ball-joint dolls. Most recently I've been into Integrity's fashion dolls but they cancelled the Jem line, which was my favorite.

Some of my favorite shows ended all too soon! If I could save/revive them, these are my top picks:
1. Dark Shadows. This was an early 90s vampire and witch drama based on a 1960s soap opera that ended on a HORRIBLE cliffhanger... The vampire's love interest went back in time and discovered he has been alive for centuries, and as soon as she got back home to the present to confront him, the series ended!
2. Moonlight. This is another vampire series I loved but only lasted for a season. A man married a vampire, who turned him on their wedding night. He was horrified and tried to escape, so she kidnapped a little girl to make him stay with her and raise her as their daughter. Instead he rescued the little girl. Years later...he's still watching her, but now he's in love with her. Then his evil bride returns, but as a mortal, and tells him there's a way to be human again. The series ended after he became mortal for a short time then reverted back to being a vampire, so you always wondered if he could be cured and if he'd marry the young woman he's spent his life protecting.
3. Timeless. Fans saved the show from cancellation after season 1. We got a season 2, but we will not be getting a 3. But they'll be doing a movie to wrap up the series at least, but I feel like so many questions will still remain unanswered.

What's the best concert you've ever been to?
My favorite might be Paula Abdul. I got to see her last year and that was a childhood dream come true! She was a huge pop star in the late 80s/early 90s when I was a kid and I was obsessed with her. I wish I could go back in time and tell mini-me that I'd get to see my idol in the flesh! She put on a really good show, with lots of stage effects, backup dancers, and light shows. I was so impressed! It was over too soon.
I also saw Cher a couple years ago, and she was totally amazing. Such an incredible show. It was like being at the circus, with a whole new stage set for every song. Cyndi Lauper was her warm-up act and even though she didn't have any stage props or backups or anything showy, she's still an icon and I was so glad to see her in person.
Also got to see Bon Jovi, Halestorm, and Linkin Park in the past few years. They're some of my favorite bands and I'm grateful I got to see Linkin Park especially.

Yeah, I felt really bad for Katherine at first and was hoping things would turn around... But I did not expect what happened and now I'm not sure I like her anymore...
Joseph made me really mad, too, but I also felt bad for what happened to him at the end of One Dark Throne. T_T
Hm... Well, I don't think being a poisoner would be very useful or fun. Elemental powers seem really neat, but I'd probably prefer to be a naturalist. It seems like the most practical gift and I do love animals! How about you?
I'm pretty sure Kendare Blake said there will be a movie. I hope it does well like Twilight and The Hunger Games, and doesn't turn out terrible like The Mortal Instruments. I'd be okay if it were an R rated movie, even. lol I just want to see something serious and realistic.

Yeah! So glad to meet you. Woohoo!
I read TDC twice, One Dark Throne once, and now I'm starting Two Reigns. I wanted to reread the other two before starting it, to refresh my memory, but I just haven't had time lately.
Who's your favorite queen? Mine was Mirabella until all that stuff with Joseph, then during the second book it switched to Arsinoe. But I keep suspecting that Jules is going to end up queen and bring the whole system down. lol She's probably my favorite character of all of them.
If you are able to buy it some time, Books-A-Million has autographed copies on their site.

Most of my favorite authors have passed away, some of them very recently.
Lois Duncan was one of my all-time favorites. I had just begun following her on social media, and she had found a bunch of overstock books of hers that she was signing and giving away. She just asked people to pay shipping, and people were scamming her by not paying the shipping once they had their books. (She was elderly and not good with technology, so she couldn't keep track of who was doing what.) I missed out on that, then very soon after that her husband reported that she had fallen in their kitchen and died. I was so sad.
Anyway, she wrote supernatural young adult fiction (and some non-fiction, including a book about her own daughter's actual murder). My favorites were "Summer of Fear," about a witch who is trying to steal a girl's life, and "Locked in Time," about an immortal black widow and her teenage children, who cannot age but keep returning to their old home every century or so relying on another man for his money. "Don't Look Behind You" is another good one, about a girl in the witness protection program whose family is being tracked down by murderous criminals. Really, all her books are amazing, but those three were the standouts for me.
Tanith Lee was a very unique British fantasy and science fiction author. She has a lot of genderbending in her work that you might find interesting, @nyreen. "Biting the Sun" is a sci fi world where people are just their consciousness, and they can have any body they want. Society is controlled by machines with A.I. who only exist to make mankind happy. Everything is free, everyone is immortal, everyone can look exactly what they want to look like. The main character is never happy, though, whether she's a woman or a man. She is predominantly female but repeatedly kills herself to get new bodies and switches back and forth from woman to man. It's not illegal to do that, but she is really pushing the boundaries by behaving so erratically all the time, and the A.I. finally banishes her. She is given one last body choice and then forced out, where she will have to work the land to sustain herself and will now age and die. It's got a love story and so, so much more. It's a tear-jerker.
My favorite book of Tanith Lee's is "The Silver Metal Lover," about a girl who falls in love with a robot. The robot actually has feelings and a soul, which is not supposed to happen, so they have to go on the run together. At the end they're outed by the one person you'd least suspect. That book makes me cry hard. The sequel is complete garbage. Fans hated it so much, she was writing a "fix-it" third book, but she died before it came to fruition. My soul is crushed.

Someone please tell me you read Kendare Blake... I need someone to fangirl with!
"Two Dark Reigns" just came out this week. I wish I had more time to read but work has been killer lately. So far this book is not disappointing me, though. I love the series so much.
I read "Anna Dressed in Blood" but still need to read the sequel. Then I'm going to read her "Goddess" series, but right now it's all about "Three Dark Crowns" for me!

There were a lot of good games out this year. I'm looking forward to the Resident Evil 2 remake. I have loved Leon Kennedy since 1998.
I'm wondering if there will be any DLC for Detroit: Become Human. I still need to play Vampyre. That came out right after Detroit and that game was so good that everything was a letdown afterward. lol I love vampires so much but I had androids on the brain.

I've dabbled in the first two games but haven't finished them. I like them, but there are just so many buttons I forget how to play if I'm not constantly working on it. @_@
I did meet Geralt's voice actor...who is strangely soft-spoken and smiley and shy-seeming...and he signed my copy of Witcher 3. So that was really nice! The character seems so badass and like he'll just tell you how it is, but the voice actor gave a panel and talked mostly about his experience as an acting teacher and not really anything about the games. Still, he seemed like a really nice, friendly person.
I read some of the Witcher comics and they're awesome.

I gotta recommend Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice to everyone. Amazing game. It's a download-only title, unfortunately. I can't say enough good things about it. You play a mentally ill Pict whose boyfriend was murdered by Vikings. She has to go to the underworld carrying his head, and take on the goddess of death to get his soul back. Ultimate love story right there. And it's completely terrifying. I thought the fights and the puzzles were extremely difficult so I did use YouTube videos to figure some things out, but the good thing (I guess) is that you can't actually die. The game threatens you constantly but nothing ever happens, because the threat of death is supposed to be part of the character's paranoia. (Mild spoiler, but you figure it out fast.)
Anyway, I thought it was awesome. I also really loved Final Fantasy XV. Each game in the series is standalone so you don't need any prior knowledge. The only irritating thing is, they pieced the game out in chunks. If you want the full story you have to buy all kinds of DLC. But even without it, it's a lot of fun and I love the characters. I've been a longtime FF fan and I rank this as my second favorite of the series, after VI.
Life is Strange is fantastic if you just want to enjoy a great story (about a serial killer...but there's no blood or anything). Your choices impact the world around you but you never have to fight anything, it's just story.
Those are my favorite PS4 games.

As soon as I saw it was about androids, I preordered it. I played through a time and a half. First playthrough I wanted to be a pacifist and keep everyone safe. Only Carl died on me and I kept everyone else safe. Second playthrough I'm trying to kill everyone in my path. And it's just not working. I tried really hard to get Kara and Alice run over by a car. lol Just didn't work out. But I want to plat the game.
Markus is my favorite character. He's so handsome and I feel the worst for him out of everyone, cause he lost his Carl and his happy life. Connor's his own man and can choose his own destiny, and Kara has Alice for company. Markus lost his whole world and didn't deserve that!

@Rallaa: Yep. ^^ He was one of 3 kittens in the litter but we couldn't catch the others. Still, I'm happy we were able to give one little baby a good home, and he's my everything now.
Thanks, @Raxton.
Thank you, @vengeance!
Oh, @Totalanimefan, that actually went completely over my head. I'm just poking around forums right now. When I clicked the cupcake and it said I'm too fresh outta the oven, I just ignored them. lol

I prefer actual paper comics because I've heard of so many web comics being abandoned or companies cheating artists and artists getting trapped into bad contracts, etc. Also, I like having something in my hands that I can reread later. I'm still not sold on ebooks and webcomics.

Stephen King is very hit or miss for me, but when he hits, I love him.
I guess I would say I do think he's overrated, but I envy his success.
I'm a big fan of Misery, both the book and film.
I love the 90s miniseries of IT but I did not love the new movie. I mean, it was enjoyable. But it was more funny than scary. In the theater I was in, everyone kept laughing the whole time. I thought it was hilarious. But the 90s version with Tim Curry, I can't even watch in broad daylight by myself.
There was a Netflix film of something he wrote that was a big hit in the early summer, but I hated it. A husband and wife get kinky and he handcuffs her to the bed, then dies of a heart attack and she can't reach the keys. But she pretends he's really there and talking her through survival. I found it very frustrating and annoying. I also felt that way about A Good Marriage, but it was a better movie.
Loved The Langoliers movie but I think most people do not. Hated Rose Red (is that what it's called)?
Love, love, love the TV series Haven, but hated the book, which is called The Colorado Kid.
I read 11/22/63 and watched the TV miniseries and I loved both so much. I just adore James Franco, for whatever reason, and he was so good in that show. Some things in the show worked a lot better than the book, but there were things I liked better in the book as well.
