Haha, I think what really killed romance novels for me was probably the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. Because they started of really good, with Anita being a bad-ass necromancer and vampire executioner. And then became all about the smut. And I really tried to stick with the series in the hopes that she could eventually regain her bad-assery, but it just never happened.

@Unicorn: Thanks! That yarn was not cheap for how much I ended up needing. I didn't figure tjat out properly before starting. But I love the colors and it's so soft and warm!
And yeah Shade loves all blankets, but I think that one might be his favorite. XD

Dragoness: I love it! Unfortunately, I'm a couple seasons behind. Although, if the boss doesn't stay late, I can watch a bit more of it on Friday probably. Been a while since I've had a desk shift...

To be honest, I haven't really retained much of it, but I learned Spanish (or tried to, I swear, I had 3 different teachers and they all spent half the year teaching us what we learned the previous year) because it was the only option available and because I have always wanted to be at least bilingual. At the time, I would have preferred French or German. Currently, I really want to learn Japanese though. No real reason though, other than that I've been listening to a lot of Japanese music lately.

@mica: Yeah, this place is currently perfect for me. Slow enough that I don't get overwhelmed/lost, but also busy enough that I'm not bored.

@Unicorn: Tada! Almost finished mermaid blanket! (And bathing cat!)

I was almost done with the first fin section in that picture. Working on the second fin section now.

@samspyroxis: Lol. I haven't had a full day off in over a month. But I finally get one on the 14th. I feel like I'll probably just literally sleep all day.

@unicorn: So far, I only have a pic of the blanket. I'll grab it in about 10 minutes, once I make it home.

@unicorn: I have a test glove I need to work on so I can test sizing and make a full pair before Halloween, and 4 legs for stuffed fox mainly. But also need to work on a tiny tulle skirt for my stuffed dragon and would like to finish my mermaid blanket soon since it's almost done

@unicorn: I'm alright. Trying to keep my motivation up so I can get a few things accomplished when I get home. Like...housework and working on some craft projects.
