Had a pretty cool chat with Vontell, which was pretty nice. Will the npcs be around occasionally outside of events? Just curious.
I don't know that I was a huge fan of the games, but they were alright. Just not my fave options.
I also wasn't thrilled that the items cost volts.
For a first event, it was good, but I think it could have maybe been better if it had been postponed/scheduled for a month or two later because it could have been planned out/organized maybe a little better and items could have been more prepared.
I don't necessarily mind the staggered release of event items, but it was cutting it pretty close with the last recolor.
Overall, I had fun and made some new friends though, which was pretty cool. I know a lot of work was put into it and everyone did very well for a first event. And the writers for the characters really made them seem more alive to me. I almost forgot Vontell was an npc. Almost.

@superbearwars: It was horrible! But also nice because I had time to actually wake up and eat breakfast (which normally makes me nauseous if I eat too early). So it wasn't too bad.

@mica: Mostly depends on my mood, but I love 90% of chocolate candies, and also Starbursts and the fruit flavored tootsie roll candies.

@superbearwars: Lol. So fun fact, I had just started at my second job and I woke up in a panic one day, freaking out because I overslept my alarm and I had to be to work in like 20 minutes. So I call the store, in a panic and let them know I'll be late. and I get hold of a friend, who is able to drive me over, so I'm not an hour late. And I get there early. And realize my shift doesn't actually start for another 4 hours.
I have never actually slept through another alarm since then. For that job anyway.
My other job is much more flexible on my shifts, so I can (and do) sleep through my alarms for that one.

Uh...if hitting snooze like 20 million times then that's mine.

I'm not a morning person, so I have to have a minimum with 3 alarms, each with 3 snoozes spaced 5 minutes apart, so I essentially get almost a full hour of alarms spaced 5 minutes apart to wake me up enough so I can drag my carcass out of bed.

@Apollo im burning: Lol. Just a theme for a craft. Like, say....bunnies for example. And then we all attempt to make a bunny or bunnies in whatever craft we want. That way, it's not like we're excluding people who don't know how to do a certain craft.
Although, I do encourage trying new crafts.

Yeah, the sun was like that a lot in Montana too. Most of the summer in the west part of the state. Thankfully, I think most, if not all of the fires are under control or out now thanks to cooler weather, rain, and snow. Haven't checked recently. We even had ash falling where I live one night and several nights with blood red moons.
It's beautiful, but also a little sad. Hope they can get the fire there out quickly and with no injuries or deaths!

@Mic Ha! No. Holiday pay is only for full time employees, and only for specific holidays. Mainly Christmas.

@apollo im burning: Well, there's almost always some yarn on sale, so I'm sure you'll probably find something! XD
And oh gosh, we forgot to get that part decided...whoops!
What would you want to make/try? I mean, at least the way the one I help run on another site is done is we take the popular theme vote and then people can either try something new or make it in their craft of choice. For example, we've had themes like mermaid, zombie, pig, etc. This month our theme there is horror. XD
And I have not completed a single craft for the theme in any of those months.

@mica: I'll work at least one of my jobs, possibly both. I don't really celebrate Halloween.

I think Joann sales switch over n Tuesday, but there's a lot of yarn on sale currently. I can't find my current ad, but I think Red Heart and Lion Brand are still on sale tomorrow.

@apollo im burning: Blankets are pretty nice to work on especially in winter. I've made a few soft, cozy ones for friends and family, but haven't done anything detailed yet.

I'm usually pretty good about not buying commons. So far anyway....
