back from a hiatus, so i'm bumping this thread up!

@PashminaPanda: i hope your life becomes less stressful. life did a number on me so i went on hiatus for a year almost. now i'm here again.
and i'm still not watching much tv, but i wish i had something to watch regularly without going into choice paralysis.

@The I: other than recolor, the one existing avatar site i can think of that caters to that more mature age group (15+ instead of PG13) is trisphee. they are in need of pixelists/artists/designers, and their avatar layering system is really quite special. if you would want to work with a site that already has developers and coders, then this is an option and it's easier than starting a site from scratch. on the other hand, starting from scratch would enable you to make something exactly like your vision if you have one, so it's your call.

@PashminaPanda: yeah i'm having the same issue. i'm often not in a mental space where i'm willing to try watching something new.
rewatching favourite and comfort shows is always a good thing though! i support you!
when my work was at its peak my eyeballs would be fried by the time i clocked off and i couldn't look at the screen to watch anything. it's better now, but nothing's really holding my attention right now. oh well, i'll just keep jumping between shows according to my mood and finish them when i finish.

i think i'd like this bag https://doeraa.com/products/doeraa-bag
You'd need a forum code (phpBB or something similar), a coder to work on this code as well as code the additional things like the site appearance, avatar system, currency, events etc. and artists to make the items.

@PashminaPanda: i haven't! it's not available on disney plus or any streaming service in my country, bummer. guess i'll have to find *cough* alternate means to watch it.

the other show i need to find an alternate means to watch because nobody is offering me a way to watch it legitimately, is miraculous ladybug.

@PashminaPanda: yeah i think it's definitely gonna be that kind of show and book for me. i'll have to consume it carefully when i'm ready.

in the meanwhile, i'm watching amphibia on disney plus and it's endearing fun

@PashminaPanda: yeah, all the awful stuff in oryx and crake is based on something that already exists or is being developed in science. that book was terrifying so now i'm terrified of the handmaid's tale lol. i'll still read it though.

It was the first day of sixth form, and Tallulah was not excited. Being here tended to overwhelm her. It wasn't building her tolerance or whatever her family liked to believe.

Well, at least she was able to nab a window seat. She could look out at the small, still lake, and the weeping willows getting their ends wet in it. The view would calm her down if she got overwhelmed.

She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around.

"Hi!" the black-haired girl sitting behind her grinned. "I'm Renee."

"Tallulah."

"I sat behind you to be closer to the window," said Renee disarmingly.

"You could have sat next to me," said Tallulah.

"I prefer to be surprised by my seatmate," said Renee whimsically. "I like the randomness of it. And sometimes you can end up the best of friends."

"I hope we do end up best of friends with our seatmates," said Tallulah. She had not been looking forward to this school year and still wasn't, but she felt a little more upbeat. Friends made everything better. Maybe she'd make friends.

"And with each other," said Renee, and Tallulah's face broke into a smile. They beamed at each other.

Tallulah turned to face the front of the class as more girls began trailing in through the double doors.

@PashminaPanda: i read a bit of the book and then lost it :viocry: i'll try to find it or else i'll get the kindle version.
margaret atwood has a way of echoing reality in her speculative fiction that gives me goosebumps. her novel 'oryx and crake' does that too.
