Sometimes it's easier to talk to a stranger about your problems because you have no pre-created bias toward them that causes you to filter what you want to say. I know I have a hard time asking friends and family for help sometimes because I don't want them to worry or I don't want to deal with their reaction. But on the internet its easier to be honest and I think that honesty combined with at least some anonymity helps people relate in a way they wouldn't be able to face to face. Not that it's a replacement for face to face interactions (which you should absolutely still do when you're feeling up to it), it's just different.

Anyway, I hope you realize that you are cared about and that you definitely should care about you. Treat yourself the way you would treat a best friend.

This thread is quality.

I don't really have any embarrassing screen names... I used to go by Baby_Pterodactyl for a while before ultimately settling under Priestess of Pie.
@Kozi: I'm glad you think so because I will literally talk about them all day unless someone tells me to stop.
@Kozi: Possibly both. He was a stray that we adopted so we don't know what his history was like. He is absolutely spoiled rotten, as is Tumbleweed. But at least Mallow isn't a drama llama.

Anyone ever do peep jousting?
@Kozi: I also forgot to mention that this is strictly the wet food I'm talking about. He has access to kibble at all hours of the day. He's not starving. He's just pushy when it comes to food. Otherwise he's the most mellow cat I've ever met.

I know I love my little A-holes.
@Kozi: It definitely doesn't help that he sounds like he smokes. I just... try my best to ignore it. >.< There's not really much I can do unless I actually feed him which enforces bad behavior. Sometimes he'll give up, but anytime close to his actual meal time and it's non stop until food is provided. And I mean close as in hours, not minutes. His actual dinner time is supposed to be 5:30 but sometimes he'll start as early as 3.

@Sigma: XD He knows how to get your attention.

Mallow will gently tap me and meow quietly. If it doesn't work he upgrades to loudly meowing and straight up punching me in the face.

Lucky 777

Still poor, but lucky!

Thanks! I'll have to give them a try. I'm always looking for better allergy solutions since my body just laughs at antihistamines.

@star2000shadow: lol! Mine just stick their back claws out and kick when you try to back them in. I have to literally drop them in front first. That way they have no choice but to jump to the bottom of the carrier in order to land on their feet.
@Kozi: That's most cats I imagine. Once the bag is open that's all they can think about. Mallow though will just start meowing at you when he thinks it's time for food, regardless of whether it is actually food time or not. He is extremely persistent at this and can do it for hours if he really wants something.

Hmm I'll have to see if they have them at one of the Asian supermarkets here.
