@Wildfire: Ah I see :3
That must be years of parenting that's pretty much an achievement itself.

I had to take care a bratty 11 year old once I already want to dig myself a hole x.x
What I perceived about children has changed forever since. I thought they were angels but some are pretty damn cruel.

@Another Movie Addict: good eve morning AMA.

@Purpsy: I suppose so. I have found that the brattiness level of the kid depends in part to what their environments allow - well established and consistent boundaries and expectations help (none of the "kids will be kids" attitude BS), but probably more importantly, their level of security and confidence. Adults around them who either let them get away with too much all the time, or who stomp down too hard all the time, tend to end up with kids who are rude, disrespectful, mean, hateful, etc. because the kids know that they can get away with it (& never learned that there are repercussions to their actions) OR because they are mimicking, to some degree, their immediate environment and knowledge base. Basically, it depends on the examples they have been given. They're not brats, usually, unless they get some type of reward for that behavior. Nor are they dumb (as some people tend to treat them) - they just lack experience doing and handling things when they're young and need to be shown. And they all have their individual personalities that come out regardless of their adult influences. Parenting is about being able to hear your kid(s) and being able to flow and adapt to their needs, even when they can't identify or express it themselves, without letting your needs go unaddressed. It's not always easy, and the details constantly change. [edit: Also, 11 is a really rough age for some reason]

And that^^ is a whole lot of text for a morning without coffee. Hopefully it makes sense. :3

So Good Morning

What is going on in your world today?

I need to get groceries and do some cooking and hopefully do some artwork. There are other things that I should probably do but I'm going to try to keep it simple and easy today - maybe I"ll go for a walk or otherwise enjoy the outside later on (as long as the weather cooperates - I think there's another storm supposed to be coming through?)
