".....huh." Ty muttered, looking at the phone as well.

"So... from what I can gather, you're saying your planets geography was somewhere between what we have here now, and back when it wad one huge supercontinent, Pangea." he said.

"Interesting." he commented.

"By the way, how are you feeling?" he then asked, changing the subject.

"Any pain, soreness, feeling off in any way?" he asked further.

"I'm sure the medical team have been in here already, asking you that, but I want to know as well." he reasoned.

Tyson nodded.

"Fair enough." he said.

"On that note, I'll leave you be so you can have some peace and quiet." he told her.

"I need to get back to work anyway." he finished.

With that, they said goodbye, and they parted ways.

About an hour and a half after that, Violet heard stirrings from the bed across from her.

"Nngh... ngh... NGH!" her brother groaned and grunted, before his eyes popped open.

"CRIMSON! VIOLET! HANG ON!" he shouted, bolting up into a sitting position, sweat pouring down his face.

Emerald seemed shaken and scared, but the sound of his sister's voice, and the touch of her hand, seemed to calm him down considerably.

"....Vi...?" he asked, looking at her.

"....what happened?" he asked her.

"Where are we? What is this place?" he asked further, now looking around some.

"...this looks nothing like home." he then commented.

"Ah..." Emerald stammered, processing this all.

"I... I see..." he said.

"Wait... wait, what?" he then asked.

"A cost?" he asked her.

"What cost?" he asked. "What did this cost us?" he asked further, before scanning around the room once more, and realising something was off.

"...wait..." he muttered.

"Violet... where's Crimson...?" he asked hesitantly.

"..................." Emerald was silent as he heard that, before tears started to well up in his eyes.

"Crim... no..." he whispered.

"No... no, it can't be..." he said quietly, his voice breaking a little.

"Brother..." he choked, before burying his face in his hands.

"No... Crimson..." he repeated, sobbing.

Emerald was silent, before returning the hug and holding her close.

"....Violet..." he said quietly.

"We need to stay alive." he told her.

"We... we need to keep going." he said further.

"We need to continue to survive." he went on.

"....Violet, we're all we have left..." he then mumbled between sobs.

"We're somewhere strange... we're alone, Vi..." he whispered.

Emerald looked around the room... and actually noticed what she was talking about.

"...I..." he stammered. "Huh." he said.

"That... wow... that IS weird..." he muttered, seemingly entranced by it. "Like... really science fiction stuff..." he then said further, before suddenly pausing.

"Oh, glurp..." he said, using a swear-like term from their world.

"What kinds of things can LIVE in this weird light?" he asked. "Are they strange insect-like carnivores? Are we in danger!?" he exclaimed, starting to grow a little more panicked again.

"....." Emerald was silent again, before looking at his sister.

"Really?" he asked.

"....huh." he muttered.

"Well, at least this world is safe." he said further, thinking further on what she had told him.

"And no tech boom... which means a lot more mana here..." he went on. "Yeah, this tech DOES seem a bit... dated." he admitted, looking at what he was hooked up to, and what she HAD been hooked up to.

"...er... speaking of which, are you... going to be okay?" he asked.

"You kinda just pulled yourself away from the machines you were connected to..." he commented, trailing off at the end.

".........." Emerald was silent for a moment, before sighing.

"I don't know." he said.

"I guess." he said further.

"I mean, I'm in a little pain, and I'm sore, and my head hurts." he told her.

"But I guess that's to be expected." he said further with a small and quiet laugh.

"Just need to sleep it off, probably."

"....yeah... I guess I could eat." Emerald replied.

"....and I'm happy you're ok, too." he went on, before returning the hug.

"But... hold on..." he then said.

"What is 'food' in this world?" he asked her.

"Will it even be something we're compatible with?" he asked further.
