Yeah I'm sure things just come easier the more experience one has in that area.
Those options sound good. It's funny you say egg drop soup with corn in it because I've only had that at one place. Most everyone else I've had it from didn't have corn in it. Not that I mind, but it was different.

Stay safe Bonnie! Hurricanes are no fun indeed.
@xvz: Yeah I've always wondered how people can afford to live there, but I guess all the things it has to offer do seem attractive (to an extent).
And no, I'd like to stay here in the States lol. I'll probably stay in Florida honestly. We've been hit by 2 hurricanes and a bad tropical storm within the last 5 years, so I think the weather is definitely getting worse. But I can't think of anywhere else to call home aside from maybe Idaho where my fiance is from. But what ties me here are my parents and siblings.

lol I don't mind the dentist/hygienists having casual conversations while they work so long as they're paying attention to what they're doing.
Also that's smart to put together that list of soft foods. The first meal I had after my surgery was my mom's beef soup, but blended up to kinda smoothie consistency. I stg it was one of the best meals I've ever had. xDD Coulda been because I was starving at the time, but it was awesome!
