"I was quite scared myself. I was BLIND in one eye. had i stayed blind...i wouldnt be able to fly" he looked at ryker.

Flying was incredibly important to eke. It was the only time he felt free from illness. The only time he wasnt limted by his frail body.

"The bigger question is finding out what that curse was exactly and how to counter it and get rid of it. if we leave it itll spread. imagine the damage itll wreak"

Raphael looked up. His face scrunched. He was studying her intesnely. Finally he spoke. "How do you know my name? Who are you?" he asked incredulously. He didnt recognise the girl in front of him. Then again, he could have met her before and completely forgotten. He didnt remember most people, too much work for something trivial.

He nodded. "Really the fingers no big deal. i just have no feeling in it"

He finished the water and then hugged ryker.

"You dont have to sound so nervous. Im fine now"

He wiped his face and shook his head.

"Nothing. im fine...just..." he exhaled and sat up taking a drink.

"im fine." he sighed and looked at his numb finger.

"I dont think i can use this finger anymore..."

He held his head. While his sight was back, his finger that was originally infected was stiff, and had no feeling in it.

He lay down not sure he could get up to get water.

He felt like crap but it was more being drained and he did feel dehydrated.

He curled up wishing ryker was there, and being alone after such an ordeal, he began to cry.

he didnt like either choice. On the one hand, hed die and leave ryker alone again.

On the other, he could survive, but ryker might not be the same...

He groaned in frustration. What to do?

Finally he realised he couldnt leave ryker alone. not yet. Besides he felt like death. He looked at his hand, his arm up to his elbow now black and he couldnt move his joints at all.

"fine...." he extended his stiff and practically dead arm

"But it would...give YOU more power...power you can use against him" he narrowed his eyes.

He began coughing the black sluge into his hand

He was getting nauseous and dizzy again.

"Not until you tell me what it is" he glared.

"Who could do something like this and why just leave it without checking the damage?"

He was nearly growling.

"What dark magic is this..."

He sighed and sat on one of the beds.

"Fine..." he said.

He began coughing, hard, from the chest.

"He better be quick" He wiped his nose with the hotel tissues.

"W-why?" he backed up.

"Ryker...brother...we can find a cure...i-im sure..."

It was then he felt he was hit in the gut and he doubled over. Black sludge coming out of his nose.

"Im im tired...and i...my head" he slowly stood up."Im gonna...find a magic library..." he started for the door.

He looked away but held up his hand.

"I dont know what happening but im pretty sure it has to do with that black gunk. this is the hand i touched it with." he sounded...ashamed, like he had done something wrong.

"Happened yesterday when we parted ways. also i cant see out of my left eye...totally blind in it" he looked at ryker.

"This is powerful dark magic. and im scared. what if my hair starts falling out?"

"Im fine!" he called from the bathroom.

He sat between the hotel counater and the toilet hugging his knees. He was terrified.

He looked at his hand. Black up to his wrist.

Slowly he got up and looked at his reflection. His left eye was slightly clouded over, making him blind in it. He looked like a ghost.

He tried to calm himself taking a few shakey breaths.

Finally he came out without his jacket on.

Eke shifted slightly.

Come morning, he woke late.

He felt very nauseous. He got up quickly the bathroom. He almost didnt make it to the toilet. What came out was the black sludge like the river.

He looked around realised...he couldnt see out of his left eye.

What the hell was happening to him?

His hair covered his face. He was snoring softly.

He seemed to be sleeping peacefully, breathing evenly.
