"Yeah. fishing is...good" he fought the urge to groan like a petulant child and walked tot he river.

He hadnt bothered about taking his shoes off before.

But here he was taking off his shoes and rolling up his pants.

He waded into the river frowning at the mud but watched intently. He was acting like a moody teen.

He looked around. "River!" he ran over.

"We can fish!!" he grinned.

He quickly stopped smiling. He felt...different. Like nothing was right.

He just wantedcomplain about everything.

He looked at ryker. Did he eat the day before?

His stomach growled loudly. His face went red.

"Sorry! i swear im not THAT hungry!" his stomach growled proving him wrong.

He groaned and started walking.

He nodded.

'Until im 16, my mom would be able to control me as soon as i set foot in the Capital" he shrugged.

"The capital has the Grand Hall of Records." he grabbed his back rubbinghis chest.

"You did a good job" he smiled

"That you...were being ripped limb from limb....blood and gore everywhere" he clamped his eyes shut.

"I...i dont think id survive without you..." he curled his tail around ryker.

"but...there are questions i dont have answers to." he got up.

"But...i cant get those answers...not yet..." He looked to the sky.

"Maybe when im older..."

He woke panting. His eyes moed wildly till they settled on ryker.

He hugged ryker tightly.

"You're okay" he began to cry.

As he held tightly to Ryker the sun began to rise.

The sun set. The night started to pass slowly.

Late into the night eke began tossing and turning, crying out in his sleep.

It started as mumbles, the cries, then yelling "no", then finally escalted to eke screaming out rykers name over and over in his sleep.

"T-thank...thank you..." he was stuttering and had a hard time getting out words since his body was in shock.

"Im...im-im grateful..." and with that he passed out.

His breathing was still heavy and shuddering, but his body was relaxed.

He was truly grateful to ryker

He was breathing heavily and he was shaking from pain.

He grabbed rykers arm.

He pulled himself close to ryker, still whimpering in pain.

Even his head trembled some as he closed his eyes, agonised tears rolling down his cheeks.

Each puncture of the needles caused eke to cry out in pain.

The more pain he endured, the more his cries sounded like roar.

Tears ran down his cheeks as Ryker worked to sew him shut.

He grabbed at the ground pulling up grass.

"I have...some...some thick thread..itll be fine" he groaned.

"Please you can do this" he coughed.

The rain had stopped. The only thing eke was worried about was he had no anesthesia.

"Itll be okay.." he smiled as water dripped from his hair.

"Im...im okay...my bag...theres a sewing kit...it was myh moms" he groaned.

"Some of my stitches bust...we need to resew them.." his hands shook from the pain.

When he groaned in pain, there was a hint of a draconic growling.

"We need to be quick before i...i dont want another hospital. you can do this" he smiled

The tooth broke and the dragon backed up. The alpha took a moment to realise he wasnt going to win.

He gave a roar before flying off. The storm began to settle to a light rain.

A few of eke's stitches had torn, and his black shirt was darkened with his blood. He wasnt bleeding out but he needed those stitches resewn fast.

Eke groaned opening his eyes, and the first thing he felt was the pain hit him.

The dragon wasnt ready to back down.

Another shot of lightening at Ryker.

The dragon roared loudly. He went to bite at ryker.
