The dragon moved out of the way.

However his tail was long and as he dodged, it swung.

The dragons tail hit eke squared in the chest and into a tree.

It knocked eke out. The dragon rushed at Ryker again. It shot lightening at Ryker.

The dragon laughed.

He ran towards ryker, lightening in his mouth.

Eke watched shivering from the rain. He couldnt find the umbrella

Eke had backed up. "Ryker...im not gonna stop you this time." he shooked his head shivering some.

The Dragon growled angrilly. "Try if you can mortal"

Eke had taken a spot away from them.

"No! No please! im not giving up! but i cant run from her forever!" he cried.

They didnt have time to argue about it anymore.

With a thunderous shake, the silveer and yellow dragon landed. His growl was low but there was a smirk in his eyes.

"Clever of Raiya" the dragon chuckled. "I learned something very interesting about you boy" he circled the two of them.

Eke was unsure what he meant. "She never even told her own son about his true heritage" the dragon laughed. ekes eyes went wide. Was the dragon bluffing? was it a ploy to get eke to go with him? Or was it the truth?

The stand off with the elder dragon bothered him deeply. And he didnt know a thing about his father.

"Come with me quietly and ill tell you the truth on the way" he growled as if to audibly smirk.

Eke looked to Ryker and thought. his brows furrowed as if thinking. There were unanswered questions. But eke had to grow up. Had to stop depnding on everyone around him.

He looked up and simply ysaid "No." A look of determination on his face. He was ready to grow up. He was ready to be his own person, despite only being 14.

"I..i cant run forever" he looked at ryker.

The way he said it made it ovbious that he had meant to go back home with the dragon.

He wanted to run forever. He wantes to stay with ryker. But he didnt want ryker to get hurt.

Hed rather take the fall.

Eke looked up. His golden eyes studying the man. Nothing remarkable about him so he figured the man was insecure. He smirked to himself and took a drink of water.

He shook his head.

"Storm dragon.probably an alpha" he turned to ryker.

He hugged ryker. They couldnt run forever

"Go...ill handle it..ill catch up" he smiled gently, the rain hiding his tears.

"Im...okay..." he sat down.

"I did it..." he smiled

The rain began pouring down.

Eke sprung to his feet as he heard the roar. It was deep and loud.

"Yeah..." he smiled.

"I...i did it" he was beaming.

After some time his clawws detracted and he looked exhausted.

"Not a full transformation. Baby steps" he got up feeling the wond.

"I can start with my hands or something. Im not dumb"

He looked at his hands and just stared.

After a bit, his nails enlongated to pitch black claws.

"Not yet. Im still searching." he opened his eyes.

"Besides ive been thinking..." he frowned.

"I know ill never be able to be a warrior...but" his teal brows furrowed some

"I need to be able to defend myself and that means being able to use my dragon form without risking a heart attack" he shook his head.

"I cant be dependant on people forever..."

"I dunno yet. Smells like another storm." his eyes never left the sky.

He closed his eyes and gave a few good sniffs.

"Still...no sign of an elder yet..."

"I'm just a whelp. there was no reason not to put me in my place...it bothers me" he sighed.

After some time he sat down. He hadnt said anything he just suddenly sat down.

The air had turned chilly and the sky and clouds dark.

His golden eyes scanned the dark clouds that threatened the nice day.

"Its call winter. But...your right" he nodded.

"Somethings been...bugging me about the stand off...from a week ago" he frowned.

It had been too easy to make the elder back off. It didnt make sense.

He jsut just a black dragon, and he had been smaller than her. Younger, less powerful.

So...why...?
